Tigerhawk has quite an interesting history. When Maximals Tigatron and Airazor investigated an alien plant, they triggered a beam which sent them into space. This happened midway through season 2. The viewers were left wondering what had become of the two right up until 'Other Victories'. What had happened was the aliens, otherwise known as the Vok, had kept the two lovers together in stasis lock in a cloud vortex where two of the Vok dwelled. The Vok were displeased with the constant tampering Megatron was doing with the time flow on prehistoric Earth, and so they decided to send down an emissary to deal with him. They fused Tigatron and Airazor's bodies together after extracting their sparks. They then entered the body themselves and thus Tigerhawk was born. Tigerhawk was sent down to Earth at lightning speed, with the couple's sparks pursuing. He crashed deliberately into the Predacon base, destroying it. The Predacons, under their leader's orders, put up a stand against the formidable Tigerhawk, but with his added alien power, he was unstoppable. He could control the weather, and used a tornado to get rid of some of his challengers. It came to a head-to-head fight between Megatron and Tigerhawk, the latter who was armed with very powerful weapons. Tigerhawk won the battle, but before he could destroy Megatron, Optimus warned him not to. Again demonstrating his power to manipulate his environment, Tigerhawk opened a fissure in the ground beneath Optimus, causing him to fall in, before closing the crack. However, it was Tarantulas who finally got the best of him. Several tiny arachnoids attacked and sent Tigerhawk into stasis lock. He re-awoke in Tarantulas's lair. The spider planned to destroy the alien influence within him and then use him to destroy the Beast Warriors while he completed the destruction of the Ark. Unfortunately for Tarantulas, his device only drew out the Vok inside of Tigerhawk, and in his attempt to kill them as they floated out of Tigerhawk and into him, Tarantulas's bullets hit the device which swivelled around to send a beam into him. This ended up killing both Tarantulas and the aliens. Cheetor came to rescue Tigerhawk shortly before Tarantulas's lair exploded, due to the malfunctioning device. The sparks of Airazor and Tigatron fused together and entered his body, and Tigerhawk awoke from his coma. He was reminded by Cheetor who he was. Slowly getting to grips with where he was and who he was, Tigerhawk accepted the changes to his form and joined the Maximals. When later Megatron got a hold of the Decepticon warship, the Nemesis, Tigerhawk fought alongside Optimus to destroy it. They had no effect on it so Tigerhawk advised Optimus to prepare his Maximals for battle while he held the line where they were. There Tigerhawk made a brave stand by causing ill-weather to descend upon the Nemesis. Megatron fired the ship's fusion cannon on Tigerhawk, who tried his very best to resist it with his own power. It became too much for Tigerhawk, and he perished. His self-sacrifice did buy Optimus some much needed time, which contributed to the end result of the Beast Wars. Quote: "It is my destiny to try!"
