Immolation

By: Varyn

Was it not all lies?
That look in your eyes.
Like thunder pierced with rain and tears;
An opera of life's dreams and fears.
The laughing damned, the truly cursed...
You played with poisons, became the worst.
So many tried to be your savior…
You stirred their feelings, then shunned their favor.
This soul-less nature, yours alone,
Twisted others—removed their own.
Thus is the path of no return…
Wrought from fire, you live to burn.
The price is yours, or shall be in turn.
