If Love is a Sin

By: Pacerpaw

Note: This is a Non-BW poem.

If love is a sin then I’m a sinner.
People may come and people may go.
They point their fingers, judging me, judging you.
Judging our love. Our small light of happiness.
In a world that grows harsher by each passing day.
Love is blind and follows no law or rule.
Love is strength and joy but also pain and woe.
If love is against the law then we are happy criminals on the run.
Love can heal but it can also wound.
I’d risk getting wounded if only for the chance of getting healed.
My choice, my life.
You can’t live my life and I can’t live yours.
So why not let me live mine and you live yours?
So much hate in the world, why tell me to shun the little love I found?
My love may not be rich. My love may not be perfect.
But it is my love.
