With laser eyes, who needs an M-60?
Does anyone know why, towards the end of his life, Dinobot was using conventional projectile weapons in favor of his optic blasters?

Dinobot's eye lasers are tied to his own Energon supply, making them potentially risky to use for too long.

Agreed, however. As the series went on. It changed from a minor skirmish to a full blown war. The predacons where growing in number, and with them, their fire power.
Dinobot, is an amazing soldier. His skills in combat have yet to be seen again. However, with medium armor, a build for melee, and equip to match. His Eye beams at best a short range fire arm, ment for use to close too melee. He had to adapt with the war.
And come on, sword, honor, AND a big damn gun..what else do you need?
