Meeting "Optimus Prime" in Person

Just thought I'd share some quick pictures with you guys since I don't have the time right now to type up a full report, and this was a pretty awesome part of the BotCon. These are just the actual truck they used for the new movie. It was gorgeous, if you can call a truck that. He looked awesome. And you could touch him!

one thing tht confused me about the new prime in robot mode was the lack of the trademark truck front. it took me a while to realise it was because it was NOT a flat-fronted truck!

I know, he's a long-nose! But I've always liked those much more than the flat faced trucks. I think he looks cooler than he did back in G1. Especially with the paint job. And his pretty blue optics and niiice deep voice. Peter said he liked the new look too so that's cool.

Awe, thanks, Jag! Yes, that's the name tag you're required to wear the whole time during the BotCon. It's your security pass to the events and whatnot. It has the package you bought, your real name, your handle on-line, where you're from, and on the back it has the whole BotCon schedule. The shirt I was wearing in that picture is actually my Pirates of the Carribean camo shirt I bought at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago. XD I love that shirt. I can't seem to find any women's shirts with Barbossa on them, and he's the coolest pirate! XD Stupid people.

I think that was you... *shifty eyes* I petted him and said he was purdy. And I hugged his front wheel well. I should've kissed it just to put lip marks on him. Nah, I wouldn't do that. One kid laid down infront of his front wheel pretending to be run over. Come on, Prime wouldn't do that!

Nemesis Prime might, (however according to Pete's rendition he would also have a nasally high-pitched voice )

Although I wasn't overcome with the desire to make sweet love to Prime then and there I will admit that it was super awesome to stand next to his vehicle mode in person. They should have shipped in the Bumblebee "puppet" they used for the movie so people could stand with a perspective for the robot modes as well.

Crab is a very lucky man to have a girl who is so into robotic fighting vehicles.

OOP we should have got a shot of both you and Sapph standing in front of Prime with the dresses you were wearing at the party, however that may have killed all the fan-boys out there (too many beautiful things in one place can be a bad thing )

Don't worry Jagna, there is much talk of sequels to the movie so we'll all have to rally again when the next one comes out. Then I'll have to drag you and everyone else to rock along to STAN BUSH AGAIN!! WOO!! ....Ahem... anyhoo. Well Sapph and I are in the UK now and I'll be round till Sunday before traipsing off on my European adventure. thts sweet of you Silver. but i dunno if i can. my mums been a bit caurious of me going up to london after the whole bomb threat thing, plus my birthday on friday, i might end up doing nothing, which usually takes the whole day. sigh. i want my rl friends here!

a sequel? sweeeeeet. i might actually find out if they are holding auditions as a friends of ours has opened her home to me every summer and she says she is willing to ship me over to californ-i-yay LOL!

who else thinks they should have built a life-sized Prime? how AWESOME would that have been? (eg if i could've, i would've stolen the silver surfer figure at the odeon at greenwich! )

* at Silver* Awe, you're too kind. I really loved your outfit, though. I never pictured you on here wearing something like that. Maybe it's the whole, "I love Silverbolt" gig. My younger sister would die to have your clothes and accessories; it's a shame she didn't come. Oh well. You look good in them! I love your Aussie accent, as well.

Yesss, Sapphire looked REALLY nice for the party! The color matched her handle flawlessly. And I never realized that she had such a strong accent until I met her. XD You guys are such sweethearts.

Jagna: Sorry, we didn't take any pictures like that. I don't even know if the room that had Optimus was opened at that point during the party, heh. That would've been a great picture, though! I did have my mom take a picture of me in my dress on the set of stairs. I'll post that if you want to see it:
