*cough* yeeeaaah, to bad I have to pass on them, too. Saving for school costs and all...

Lol yep Starath, that's when we're supposed to be getting in! We're flying United though - I hear they have a habit of being late? Either way, I imagine we might have a repeat of the Gathering, just with a much larger hallway to run down screaming "THERE SHE IS!! YEEEEE!! *glomp*"

The third exclusive in the Botcon set-- Thrust, the last of the three seekers to complete the Classic six-- has been revealed on Botcon.com! It should be noted that this is the most heavily-modified Botcon exclusive to date. In total, Thrust has FOUR remolds-- his main wings are brand new, as are both of his tail fins.

Okay, so Nurann, weeee haaaave tooo taaaalk!!! *grins* Since you and Starath are coming in at the same time, I'll be there to help you guys settle in. So if you can give me a call, or talk to Starath and have her tell me details about where you're staying and how you're getting there . . .

>.>;; that, and I'm seriously totally wanting to talk to you. I feel like a lovesick schoolgirl with how much I want to talk to people coming to Botcon. Isn't that sad?
Uncle Iroh: I know you're not supposed to cry over spilled tea, but *cries* it's just so sad!

Important news from a club mass e-mail:
I have gotten a ton of emails asking if you can order the set without
attending. Also, I have gotten a lot of questions about when the
cut-off is for ordering.

The first answer is YES you can order the set by downloading the
Attendee Registration form from BotCon.com and choosing the Iacon
(non-attending) package. The cut-off date is either when we run out or June 8,
which ever comes first. After that date, we will sell any that are
possibly left at the show. Late registration for non-pre-ordered sets is
Friday morning (expect a line). We will also not be taking checks for
attending sets after May 29th (credit cards or money orders only).

Now here is the most important news: 75% of the sets have been
pre-sold, so if you are interested in obtaining one at the issue price, don't
delay.

In addition, the classes and the Thursday tour are now sold out (based
on the paperwork in house). All paperwork in house will be billed by
next Wednesday. You will be notified in your confirmation letter in
late May exactly what is confirmed for each guest. (You can check your
billing statements next week to verify that the amounts equal what you
requested.)

So what is still available? There are some boxed sets available, there
are loose sets available, and there are movie tickets available.

If I don't have hotel reservations yet, what should I do?

We are pleased to announce our fourth hotel block for BotCon 2007 at

The Hilton Providence

Guests can call 800-221-3109 or 401-831-3900 right now to make
reservations. A web link will be available in the next few days.

This final hotel room block won't last long so make your reservations
now! The Hilton is one block from the Rhode Island Convention Center.

If you encounter any problems in arranging for lodging, please let us
know and we will try to help you.

Thanks for your support! This is going to be the greatest Botcon ever!

The fourth exclusive in the set has been shown at Botcon.com! It's Bugbite, a repaint of Classics Bumblebee with some VERY nifty paint applications. Check it out!

*twitches* Okay Beastbot, thank you, but I think we've got the picture now....

Someone should make a really big "BW INT" sign, since I don't think anyone has neon-coloured hair that would do the trick.

What do you mean? These are all different exclusives, I imagine this news would be of interest to anyone here who's getting the Primus package since they're all part of it... (Dreadwind still has yet to be revealed, but the other 4 in the 5-part boxset have been shown.)
Someone should make a really big "BW INT" sign
Actually Miss Special did that last year. I can only assume it'll be done again this year. :)

Bugbite's colors are pretty dang cool. If the other figure is as nifty-looking, I might have to rethink my plans to sell my set.

...yeah, I kind of made it during the ride from the hotel to the convention. I'm sure someone can do better than shakily-written thin, black marker. I'll even give ten points to anyone who does. :P

Some more exclusive news:

-First, the last figure in the main 5-piece Botcon set, Dreadwind, is up at Botcon.com. He's a repaint of Classics Jetfire with a remolded head (though the helmet that slides OVER the head isn't remolded).

-Secondly, ebay auctions have surfaced for Alpha Trion, a repaint of Vector Prime with a remolded head, which you can see here:

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=132032

This is likely going to be a Botcon at-show exclusive. Especially given the hint Ben Yee dropped to me and Baron Fel at last years' Botcon as we were driving home Cracker Barrel. We were talking about the Classics Legends figures (repaints of the teensy Cybertron Legends figures), and I said I was surprised Hasbro didn't repaint Legends Vector Prime into Alpha Trion. Ben replied with, "Well, there's a REASON for that..." When pressed about it, he kinda backtracked with "Well, it could be anything... the copyright could have been taken, for example..." But I KNEW there was more to it than that. w00t!

-Last but not least, a five-page preview of the Botcon comic is viewable at the TF Collectors' Club homepage, here:

http://www.transformersclub.com/

Beyond the possible at-show exclusive repaints mentioned earlier, a repaint of Cybertron Snarl as Weirdwolf is shown.

EDIT: Also, the main 5-piece boxset for the convention is now SOLD OUT, completely. If you haven't preregistered yet for a Primus package, you aren't getting any.

Well, I got my round ticket to Rhode Island (after getting off at one station and WALKING in the humidity all the way to the place, which apparently HAS a station near by  :P ) so I just have to keep saving for when I'm there :-D.

I plan to leaving on June 26 at 8pm (toronto time) and arriving at Rhode Island at 2:15pm. I plan to leave Rhode Island on July 2nd at either 12:30pm or 7pm, depending on what everyone else are planning to leave at. (YAY! I'M COMING!!! ^__________________________^)
