Disney World
Yesss.... my grand master plan has finally been locked in. Next month (Feburary) I will be carrying out the US leg of my crazy trip, during which I will be heading to Florida from Ohio via an interstate Mustang trip and intend to be in Florida from 19th - 25th. Throughout this time, I would like to go to Disney World, however I would prefer it if I had someone to go there with. Never done the theme park thing solo and figure that this may be a good opportunity to meet a couple of cool BW fans over there. So if anyone is interested please post a date that may work best for you and we'll see how many BW fans we can amass.
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

That is the one theme park I have never been to yet and would really like to. I'm so deprived.
I'd like to go with you, Silver, but I cannot. *sigh*
I live only ten or fifteen minutes from a theme park called Dorney Park. I like a lot of its rides (mostly the newer coasters) but I didn't get there at all last year! It's horrible, I know. Hangtime, the Talon and Hydra are three awesome rides. XD
Another park I've been to in my home state is Hershey Park. Awesome park if you love Hershey's chocolate.
The Great Bear was a cool coaster there.
I've been to Six Flags in New Jersey, which was all right. Too pricy, and too many inconsiderate people for me, though. -.- In fact, I was so fed up with constantly moving out of everyone else's way, that I didn't have the patience to stand in line for any other rides after my two hour wait for the new Superman Ultimate Flight coaster. The wait was worth it, though. I absolutely loved that coaster.
King's Dominion in... West Virginia? Virginia? Gah! I can't remember which state but that one was neat too. The Volcano was a cool coaster. I could have sworn they had one called The Spark and you'd actually stand the whole time on the coaster, like laying down on Six Flag's Superman in the unique way of riding.
And the only other I've been to was Busch Gardens in Virginia. The Lockness was the first coaster I ever rode. Ever since, I've always loved the rides with the spirals, loops and corkscrews. I very much dislike the wooden car-coasters where it's just bunny hops and free falls. *yawn*
...I guess I just wanted to give you a few ideas incase there were any other theme parks you might be interested in during your journey on the east coast of the US.
Maybe anyone else can give me ideas as well. My sibs and I are always look for new rides.

Awesome!! Thanks Optimal Op. I love theme parks and can't get enough of adrenaline. Unfortunately, Wonderland the only really big theme park in my state was shut down a few years back. Its now a waste reclaimation facility. Slaggin Japanese businessmen using it as a tax write off.
Anyhoo, the parks that you have mentioned sound interesting. I'll be travelling interstate with my hired Mustang and haven't decided on a route yet. I may stop by and check some out along the way.
Additionally for everyone's info, I am willing to pick up people along the way if transport is an issue. The Mustang can potentially hold 4 people with minimal luggage but most likely I'd only be able to pick up 2 passangers along the way. If anyone else has a vehicle and is interested in interstate road trip feel free to hop on board.

(for OOP) try busch gardens, florida...i went there when i was 15 and of course all i thought about on the drive up there was uuuugh...president bush? die Die DIE! ahem...no offense to those who like him but frankly hes beginning to irritate me (wait, BEGINNIG TO?!?!
)
if anyone is in the UKI, a good theme park is not alton towers, but AMERICAN ADVENTURE WORLD (not intended for strereo-type-hating-tourists
)
its near derby in derbyshire im not sure exactly where u might want to look on net...anyway has an awesome ride called the MISSILE...i refused to go on it till i was 9, coz i was scared of it...my dad and my sis and her frend and my frend(my mum detests theme-park anything) had ridden on it 3 times and i was sitting on a step watching it looptheloop and twist and at the end of one round it goes backwards! then my sis came up to me and said, "so, (name), u coming or what?" and i said "ya ok"
they were so shocked. but as soon as i went on it the first time i went on it again and againg and again!!!! at least 4 times i think...i even went alone! suprising since i never even went within 3metres of it b4!
luckily for anyone who visits its a pay to go in and dont pay for any rides!!! wheeee!!! there are only a few specialist rides you have to pay for like the giant swing...u no wht i mean...!!! TIP: if you go before the holidays start (which i usually can) you can go on a ride as manytimes as u like! not too many ppl there! duh
and if anyppl want to visit q8! heh! ENTERTAINMENT CITY is 4 u! its usually almost completey empty at night when all the school trips happen (6th formers havnt gone this year! sniff
) but theyv got some good rides: water logs, looptheloop etc...and one outragously expensive ride (2KD per go! bloody hell! which is about $6 or 4 british quid) but its a footless one but very short...its new thts why its one of the few rides you have to pay for...rrr...its a horrible orange/green colour. yuk!
but those are far-out parks tht nobody has heard of unless u live here! anyone else? like in sweden?

Gah!! If only you were a about a day earlier! I'm going on a mini vacation from Feb. 16 -18 because I'm going to Megacon again. Since our hotel is like 2 miles from the theme parks, my cousins, sister and I were planning on going to Universal on the 18th.
I definately can't meet you during the week 'cause I got to work but if you got any questions just ask me or some of the other FL people around here.
Hope you have a great time!

Shiny. Well I thank you all for the encouragement. Bummer on missing out on you Blaze Raptor. Universal is in LA isn't it? If its in Florida I'm going to be all over it and perhaps I'll have a T-100 endoskeleton as my passenger in the Mustang as I leave very quickly from the venue.
Janga you're really selling Quwait to me. I'll have to do a crazy trip out there in the coming year(s). If I end up with an awesome job, maybe they need robotics engineers to travel the globe.
Moosey. You lucky boy. Get to go out there make some noise and then tear around the park. Nice. Well I'll have to get a mobile number or something at some point so I can harass you when I get in and we can catch up and be crazy engineer types and so forth

Yep! There is a Universal Studios and Island of Adventure (loves the Spiderman ride) in FL. I like it better than Disney, actually. I still haven't seen the Shrek 3D thing and my sister really wants to go on the Mummy ride. I'm really sad they don't have the King Kong ride any more. lol I like the Terminator movie "ride" (well, it's not really a ride) thing there too.

Yep, Jagna's right! If it is hot do not buy that water fan thing, that's how they get ya money. Walking around all day can get you thirsty. It's been a few years since I've been there but I think you can get one of the special cups that where they will let you refill it all day (I went to Island of Adventurer the first year it opened here in FL and got one but I don't know if that was one of those promotional things). Whenever I go, though, I always freeze my own drinks the night before I go and bring them with me. Some of the prices are kinda crazy. Did you know that a peanut butter and jelly sandwich cost nearly $5 at Disney!? No kidding, I saw it myself!!
