Uh... Depth Charge is a fairly stock and standard anti-hero character, and the first two that simultaneously pop in my mind are Wolverine and Batman. Hmm... the X-Men films weren't out at the time Beast Wars was written, so I'm gonna go with Batman. Of course, Batman in the 1990s still wasn't as much of an anti-hero as the character was in the comics -- I think Christian Bale's Batman captures that better. Though it's sometimes hard to take Batman seriously with a lisp. No offence to people with speech problems, but it's kinda strange to see him talking in that macho grunting voice with a lisp. Bruce Wayne is filthy rich... you'd think he could afford the best speech therapy. Unlike say, Roman nobility who despite being wealthy couldn't affording speech therapy since it wasn't invented yet! But I digress... Knowing my luck it's probably some completely different anti-hero. :p

Also, when you reveal the correct answer, do you think you could provide a source that verifies this answer? The only real world comparison from the creators that I've heard of are actors. Fans tend to compare DC to Batman and other gritty anti-heroes but that wouldn't mean that he was based off of them.

folks, I owe an explaination:

I was unable to respond since this morning due to my computer being a pain. -_- I oddly enough was still logged in though, which baffles me.

My mom was kind enough to look at my computer and was able to fix the problem (can't remember what she said, something about my firewall?) and now I can post. :D

Alak, when I sent you that PM i was telling you that I asked for a Movie character, while Clint Eastwood was a good guess he is an actor.

Goktimus Prime was correct when he said Batman (the movie part counts when including both the 1989 movie and mask of Phantasam(sp?).) however, since I was poorly informed of the detail (I looked at my research to the information and slapped myself upside the head for this) i believe no points should be awarded and the question ignored. since Alak and Goktimus both attempted to answer either one should ask the next trivia. I will be sitting out of the game until I can find questions that are actually accurate and can confirm the answers to. Sorry for the inconvienence. :(

Q: The words "Tri-dinosaur Fuzor" appears in the tech specs bio of which Transformer?

Bonus Q: What is the screen name of the TF fan who originally coined the term "Tri-dino Fuzor" for this Transformer?

(yes I know the bonus Q isn't a 'verifiable fact' - but it's only a bonus point question... the main question is based on a verifiable fact :p :D)

No, it wasn't Ben Yee. :p The fan's screen name is... Goktimus Prime! :D Yeah, I first coined that phrase in my 1999 review of the Japanese BW Neo Magmatron toy in my description of the combined beast mode. In 2000 when Hasbro released their version of Magmatron, the words appeared in his tech specs bio. :) That's one of two times Hasbro's quoted me in a tech specs bio (but I'll save that for a future bonus q ;)).

Okay okay, enough of my ego pumping,...

The Western Star 4964EX?

I have a technical question. I've known some of these answer, but there are others (like this one) I've had to look up. That is legal, right? Using outside sources? Or is it all meant to be what we know off the top of our heads?

It was a Dodge Ram and he was labeled as Black Convoy. As for looking stuff up, I'll readily admit that I do it. Sometimes I know the answer but I forgot the name of the character in particular. Sometimes I just don't know the answer at all. Heck, I sometimes look up stuff just to ask questions.

Yeah you can look stuff up. :) It's more fun not to, but it's not against the rules or anything.

Sorry I'm confused. How does this make the Dodge Ram an inspiration for Optimus Primal? Black Convoy was originally a tanker truck from Transformers Car Robot (aka Robots In Disguise Scourge) - a repaint of G2 Laser Optimus Prime (but without the LED laser rod gimmick). Binaltech Black Convoy transforms into a Dodge Ram, but with paint decos (e.g. teal highlights) clearly indicating that he's an incarnation of Car Robot's Black Convoy. Hasbro's version of this toy was Alternators Nemesis Prime. Black Convoy/Nemesis Prime is an evil clone of Optimus Prime. Black Convoy's motto is 「例え宇宙の果てまで、悪の呼ぶ声を必ずやって来る」 ("Until the ends of the universe I shall absolutely heed the call of evil.") which is an inversion of Fire Convoy's (RiD Optimus Prime's) signature line of 「例え宇宙の果てまで、正義の呼ぶ声を必ずやって来る」 ("Until the ends of the universe I shall absolutely heed the call of justice.")
