Okay, time for a bit of Mainframe history:
Before Beast Wars became what it is today,Larry DiTillo and Bob Forward originally wanted a re imagining of G1(Kind of like Animated)and had written some concepts down and everything. However, since they didn't know any history of G1 whatsoever, they decided to go with the current Beast Wars, since Hasbro was doing the BW toyline at that time...add some things here and there and we got Beast Wars.
Mainframe was going to do Transtech after Beast Machines, which we all know is supposed to be a continuation of Beast Machines with G1 characters.Unfortunately,Hasbro decided to take another direction and was with Takara to make Robots in Disguise and the Unicron Trilogy.
Mainframe did have an idea of making something in vein to G1 early in their time. Now that Rainmaker is in charge, they no longer have their ties to Hasbro, especially when Hasbro themselves are making their new channel after their fallout with Cartoon Network.Rainmaker is already in works with Mattel, after the success of the Barbie and Hot Wheel Movies they were doing over the years....chances are we'll not have a re-imagined G1 Series from Rainmaker, but it doesn't mean that they haven't considered it before when Mainframe was still around.
Who knows, maybe Nerd Corp.might have a try soon, but they're currently with Mattel too.
