I'm not sure if I should post something so big or if I should post it here exactly but I thought this might help people pick out the best version of the movie they wanted.

I live in the United States so this review of DVD’s only has reviews of the DVD’s in America. This is my review of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen DVD and BluRay discs.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be released everywhere in the format of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen full screen edition/widescreen single disc edition.

This version is just a bare bones edition with no special features except with Subtitles: English, French, Spanish and will run about $15 everywhere.

This version features a slip cover with Optimus in the front and Sam and Mikaela in the background. When you take the slip cover off it has Optimus in the front and Bumblebee in the background. On the reverse side of that it has Megatron in the front and Starscream in the back ground. I liked the back but the only way to see it all of the time would mean you’d have to keep the slip cover off.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2-disc special edition features:

Disc 1:

-Feature Film
-Commentary by Michael Bay, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman

Disc 2:

-The Human Factor: Exacting Revenge of the Fallen--This multi-chapter
documentary chronicles the entire creation of the film and includes
interviews with the cast and crew:
-Seeds of Vengeance - Development and Design - After the overwhelming
success of 2007's Transformers, how do the filmmakers top
themselves for the sequel?
-Domestic Destruction - Production: United States - Michael Bay
believes in going big: Big action and big explosions. Cast and
crew are pushed to the limit as they traverse the U.S. from New
Mexico to Pennsylvania.
-Joint Operations - Production: Military - No other filmmaker in the
world enjoys the kind of military access and cooperation Michael Bay
has. Here we see just how efficient our armed forces are and the awe
and respect shown by the cast.
-Wonders of the World - Production: Middle East - You can't
really reproduce Egypt anywhere but Egypt so off we go to Giza and
Luxor.
-Start Making Sense - Editing - In order to turn over the massive
amount of film as quickly as possible to VFX, four editors work
tirelessly in a unique tag-team approach to shape the film.
-Under the Gun - Visual Effects - Revenge of the Fallen features the
most complicated VFX in film history. So complicated in fact that
the filmmakers were unsure they would make the deadline. The
DEVASTATOR VFX alone required 83% of ILM's total render farm
capacity.
-Running the Gauntlet - Post-Production and Release - Working seven
days a week, Michael Bay and company usher the film through sound
design, Digital Intermediate color-timing and a globe-trotting
whirlwind of premieres.
-A Day with Bay: Tokyo--An intimate and fun all-access journey with
Michael Bay as he travels to Tokyo, Japan for the world premiere of the
biggest film of the year.
-25 Years of TRANSFORMERS--Access an all-new featurette celebrating a
monumental milestone for one of Hasbro's most successful and
popular franchises.
-NEST: Transformer Data-Hub--Explore conceptual artwork created by the
production for 12 of the most popular AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS from the
film.
-Deconstructing Visual Bayhem with Commentary by Pre-Vis Supervisor Steve
Yamamoto-- A series of multi-angle pre-visualization sequences allowing
viewers to learn how some of the film's most spectacular scenes
were created with an introduction by Michael Bay.
-Extended Scenes
-Music Video: Linkin Park's "New Divide"

This edition has a slip cover with Optimus on the front but when you take it off it has Megatron in the same kind of position as Optimus was on the slip cover! Cool!

- Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Blu-Ray

This is also a 2-disc edition and has all of the features from the 2-disc special edition DVD plus:

-The ALLSPARK Experiment--Viewers get their chance to unleash the power
of the recently recovered ALLSPARK shard on Earth vehicles. Begin by
selecting and customizing a vehicle with a selection of parts and
accessories. Then apply the ALLSPARK to this creation and watch what
happens. Applying the ALLSPARK to certain custom combinations enables
four new robot characters with special powers. If viewers discover all
four, they unlock a fifth vehicle, which reveals a top secret message
about the future of the TRANSFORMERS movie franchise.
-NEST: Transformer Data-Hub--A database of some of the TRANSFORMERS
characters that appear in the new film, offering users access to each
robot's confidential file including:
-Innovative 3D spin galleries of each robot
-A timeline for each TRANSFORMERS character charting its origins,
back story and design evolution from toys to animated series to
comics and finally feature films
-Giant Effing Movie - A very personal look at the making of the movie.

-The Matrix of Marketing--An archive of the film's promotional media
including trailers, posters and television spots.

This has the same slipcase design as the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2-disc special edition.

There are also Transformers/Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen DVD and Blu-Ray Bundles that I only saw at certain stores. The Transformers/Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen single disc DVD was around $30-$32 at both Best Buy, Target, FYE, and Wal-Mart. The Transformers/Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2-disc Blue-Ray bundle was around $50 at Best Buy, Target, and FYE.

Now on to the exclusives from each store.

Best Buy:

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen single disc edition $15.99.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2-disc special edition is $22.99.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Blu-Ray is $24.99.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Blu-Ray limited edition Optimus bust is $44.99.

Best Buy has the Exclusive Limited Edition Blu-Ray gift set which includes the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Blu-Ray (2-disc) with an Optimus Prime replica head bust and a $50 gift card to slideshowcollectibles.com. I went to my local Best Buy and they only had two of these so if you want one of these I suggest you hurry!

Target:

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen single disc edition $15.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2-disc special edition is $22.99.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Blu-Ray is $25.99.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2-disc special edition with Exclusive Bumblebee transforming case is $26.99.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Blu-Ray with Exclusive Bumblebee transforming case is $29.99.

The Bumblebee transforming cases are just like the previously seen Optimus and Megatron cases that have previously been released. You transform the case and Bumblebee stands 14” tall and the DVD’s are in the body of the case.

Wal-Mart:

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen single disc edition $15.86.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2-disc special edition Exclusive (Big Screen Edition) is $19.96.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Blu-Ray special edition Exclusive (Big Screen Edition) is $23.32.

Wal-Mart’s big exclusive is that they are the only store to sell Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in it’s IMAX version. This means that not only does it have the biggest widescreen picture version in it, as well as the exclusive cover box art of Optimus’ up-close face with a black back ground, but it also contains about 45 more seconds of the movie that was only shown in IMAX theatres during the film’s release! That’s right! The movie lists that it’s running time is 150 min. instead of 149 min.! From what I’ve heard, because I didn’t see it in IMAX, is that the extra 0:45-1:00 of the movie takes place in the forest battle scene. A little more action in the fight scene with Optimus and the Decepticons! I thought this was the best part of the movie so I can say that I bought the 2-disc special edition Exclusive (Big Screen Edition) at Wal-Mart. More movie!!! Under the slip cover on the front is an up close Bumblebee with his gun smoking. Oh and it also has The Fallen on the inside cover of the box when you open it up and take the DVDs out. It’s an up-close look of his eyes like in the first teaser poster.

FYE:

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen single disc edition $19.99.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2-disc special edition is $24.99.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Blu-Ray is $29.99.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2-disc Exclusive Special Edition Steelbook $24.99.

FYE’s exclusive is a 2-disc special edition steelbook exclusive. It has an up-close shot of Optimus’ head (just like Wal-Mart’s) but it has a white background and the back of the case is white with Cybertron like symbols all over it.

I hope that this will help you pick out the best exclusive version that you want to buy. That’s really why I did this review because I know it suck s when you buy the movie and then you see a version of it somewhere else that you’d rather have had if you’d only known about it. I hope this helps!!!

I have only question about the imax version: do I need a widescreen tv for it?
Because there's a phrase for people who drive out into the middle of very flat, open country while being chased by Starscream in his F-22 form. "Sitting duck."

None of the stores in Toronto have the 2-Disk special. It was delayed :(

I'll have to wait until next week for the specials...

Happy Birthday, Sky! ^_^

Eh. I'll get it eventually. I only really want it for the Bethlehem and Philadelphia scenes, and Peter and Frank. Oh, and Devastator.

Got it. Watched it. I thought it was pretty good. I love the scenes with the dogs, the twins, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and the scene in the museum. I laughed at that scene.

But dang, I didn't know it was longer than the first movie.
