Collector's store Ages Three and Up reboots website
A few of you might have heard about this store, others not so much. In any case, there's a collector's store in my area called Ages Three and Up (which, at one time, was a sponsor to Ben Yee's BWTF.com site), and I've known the owner Spencer for more than five years. His store's site had been down for a number of months, but it only just got rebooted today, so it'll take a while for Spence to get stuff posted back up on the site. He may have a small number of BW stuff, but he also offers a lot of other things like the other TF series (including Japanese imports), Star Wars, Microman, Stikfas, AVP, etc.

And their new forum has now been opened. Feel free to take a swing by, as hopefully more people will gradually show up.

Hate to dust off a month's old thread, but since I got my digital camera, I thought that, instead of starting up a new one for the same thing...
You've heard me rave about it. You've heard me go on about how this store has some of the coolest stuff a toy collector could want. But with most of you not living near the greater Vancouver area, you likely wouldn't have had a chance to see it. Now, thanks to Spencer Wilson giving me permission in doing this, I've taken a series of shots of the store, so you can see it for yourself! I present to you... Ages Three And Up Toys, Cards & Collectibles: the store!

Here's a full view of the big glass case that's right up front before you enter the store.

One display of various Star Wars figures.

A bunch of different TF figures from different generations, both American and Japanese.

Even more boxed TFs, including some from BW! Also, some Microman, Robotech, and other figures.

Another bunch of Star Wars figures and models.

This is one of ths store counters, where the gaming cards are held. That little TV is always playing something, and notice the big Stormtrooper and Vader figures in the tall, narrow case.

Big wall hanging of Energon Optimus Prime. I can't remember where or how Spencer got it, but it looks pretty cool.

Something for any YGO fans here.

A bunch of assorted McFarlane figures, including Spawn, Dragons, and military.

This is just above the other store counter at the front of the store, and behind the big glass case. All nice and decorated with toys and posters.

A better look at the posters, and the figures and statues standing on top.

More stuff inside the store's front counter!

And one of the decorative perks of the store: big toys and figures suspended from the ceiling!
And again, here's the store's web address, should you want to poke around, or even drop by the online Forums!

That looks like a VERY cool store. I wish I had a store like that around me. I'd flip if I saw a shop with Beast Wars toys. *has had dreams about finding stores that still sell the toys* >_>

For anyone looking for collectors' stores in your areas: When I started getting into collecting older TF toys (around 1996, when Generation 2 was almost dead, and I wanted more G1 toys), I looked up my Yellow Pages directory under the "Collectibles" section, or any other sections that would pertain closely enough to it, like "Comic Books" (not all comic book stores carry toys, but some may). Some cities may have better luck than others, and it'll also depend on what stores carry what items. If you decide to call a store which looks like it may carry toys, I suggest first asking for Transformers toys in general, and later ask if any of them are BW.
Sapph, I can't really promise anything for sure, but when I was on vacation in Europe back in summer of '97, I looked up the phone directory and found a store that did have a small number of Euro-exclusive G1 or G2 TFs. But this was in a suburb of London, so I don't know if your local area would have as much luck. But it may be worth a look in the book.
And for those of you who'd like to check out where Ages 3 & Up's brick-&-mortar store in person someday, it's in the Greater Vancouver BC area, more specifically, a city called Burnaby. It's located in a HUGE shopping mall called Metrotown, the second-largest mall in Western Canada (behind only West Edmonton Mall). It's actually pretty easy to reach if you can find a way to get to a SkyTrain station in Greater Vancouver. Some bus exchanges actually stop at SkyTrain stops, and the Metrotown stop is right in front of the mall of the same name. Of course, aruond here, the trick is to find a bus that's actually reliable. Considering what you pay for (and the occasional rate increases), it can be a rip-off.

I happened to need to visit the place again today, and while I was there, I got to snap a few more pics of the store. The last time I was there, my camera's batteries were running out, so I couldn't get all the shots that I wanted. But now, here's another batch:

More stuff came in a few days ago. Yep, it really is that crowded in there.

He also got in a Brave Maximus, a special Japanese-exclusive repaint of Fortress Maximus, the largest TF toy ever made. For those of you who don't know, Fortress Maximus came from G1, and his robot mode stood 23 inches tall!

Some Stikfas!

Stikfas dinos out of the box, for display.

A variety of figures, including Inuyasha.

The store just recently got a bunch of Boba Fetts in.

And he's got even more toys suspended from the ceiling! Here's Primal Prime, a G1 Optimus-inspired repaint of Optimal Optimus!

Some Jedi Starfighters.

It's A TIE! *rimshot*

A couple Star Trek vehicles "in flight".
And the pic that I couldn't take the first time, because my batteries ran out... the store's front entrance!
