That's true...
I had doubts about Johnny. My dad made great points on being an excellent role, but the only Riddler I can ever see is,well Jim Carrey.
With Two-Face dead and Joker 'hanging' we don't know the outcome of this film...I'll be incredibly surprised if they pull this off...if they don't explain what happened to the Joker,it will be the only plot-hole exception.

Firstly - seen this now yay!
Regarding Joker and Two-Face, the last you see of the Joker is him hanging, with SWAT coming to him, so personally I reckon he's in custody. If there is a third film, you can either have him referenced to being in Arkham, or have Batman going past his cell at Arkham, and just having an outline of a fill in actor for the Joker, and dub one of Ledger's laughs.
Two-Face. Hmm.. I read on IGN from someone in the film (can't remember who) that the fall was ambiguious. He could be alive, but secretly at Arkham, as if the public knew what he'd become then it'd break 'Gotham's spirit'.

Glad you finally got to see it, guruhamboy!
Just having Batman or Gordon referencing that would be satisfactory to me because I really think they should leave the Joker off screen in good memory of Ledger. After all, the whole Dark Knight film revolved around him, so the third one should focus a lot more on the next villains. I'm also wondering if they'll bring in Catwoman since Rachel's dead. These super hero movies always need a damsel, don't they?
"Batman saved little Jimmy by knocking off Two-Face," someone would tell me, and then I'd say, "But Batman doesn't kill. So why assume that Two-Face is dead just because he was pushed off from that height? A height that Batman was well aware of. He could've been unconscious." *shrug* I love it how they leave these things open-ended.
I hope this is only a rumor. As far as I know, after all of the interviews I've seen and read, I'm pretty sure Nolan's staying right where he is. *crosses fingers*

I agree, Wonko, but if you take Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow or Sweeney Todd and add a little more insanity and some humor, I think he could be a pretty good Riddler. It's just as skeptical as picking Ledger as the Joker as opposed to Nicholson's Joker; and Ledger turned out to be incredible!I had doubts about Johnny. My dad made great points on being an excellent role, but the only Riddler I can ever see is,well Jim Carrey.
That's exactly what I thought. And they'd just toss him back in to Arkham under high security. Or a padded room.the last you see of the Joker is him hanging, with SWAT coming to him, so personally I reckon he's in custody.

Huh. Funny how I thought that very same thing but everyone kept telling me Harvey was dead because they had a funeral. So what? Bruce had a funeral but he wasn't dead. They pretended Gordon was dead but he wasn't. I'm beginning to see a pattern here...Two-Face. Hmm.. I read on IGN from someone in the film (can't remember who) that the fall was ambiguious. He could be alive, but secretly at Arkham, as if the public knew what he'd become then it'd break 'Gotham's spirit'.

Well, that would stink. He's had such great success at these movies, why abandon them? The franchise will probably flop again just like it did when Joel Schumacher took over the older Batman movies after Tim Burton started them with Michael Keaton. ...I wasn't very fond of Joel's style.I've heard Nolan may not necessarily be returning for another film.

"Well, that's just prime!"

Well, I thought so when I first saw it, but wasn't he really just trying to scare Joker's hostage? Because later we see his coin is double-headed.Wonko The Sane wrote:He finds probaility,or 'luck' as his way of life, using 50/50 to any situation, whether it be small(Such as asking his friend and co-worker to go on a date with him)or large(Such as killing one of Joker's hostages)
So not only was he really not making it a real chance that Racheal would prosecute the thug in court, and he wasn't really offering a chance that he wouldn't pretend to be Batman, but also he never really had a chance of killing that hostage.
I could be wrong though.
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

That was the point of the coin at first, as he claimed he made his own luck, which he did, since as long as he used the coin he wouldn't lose.
After becoming Two-Face, the coin had becom scarred too, and then it really was a 50/50 chance, and as he was mentally unhinged, he ended up living his 50/50 chance philosophy.

That's right, Blazemane. He did 'make his own luck' so to speak with that coin and before going nuts, never meant to harm anyone.
Ahem, yes, I'm back and I recently saw this film and LOVED it. I was incredibly impressed! Heath Ledger was amazing and deserves every bit of praise he receives. I would never have thought he was the right person to play Joker, but I stand thoroughly (and pleasantly) corrected. What a shame that he's not around anymore.
It's a very dark film and I was quite scared at some points (I'm easily frightened) but not to the point that I wasn't enjoying myself. Everything in the film was executed perfectly and I guessed very little of what was going to happen. Few cliches in this movie, despite it being a superhero flick! Usually you cannot escape cornyness in such a genre, but the creators of TDK managed it. Superb!

Saw this film today... Well, okay, technically yesterday, it was great!
Ledger was definitely kickass throughout the film and definitely stole the show. For most of the movie I was thinking "MOAR JOKER! MOOOOAAAAAR!" and "GET OFF THE SCREEN BATMAN, I DEMAND MORE JOKER DAMNIT!".
Favorite Scene
The entire scene as the joker is walking out of the hospital. I'm not sure if I was intended to be horrified or highly amused but I most certainly tended towards the latter.
Would definitely see in the cinemas again.
