Shadow Raiders

Unread post by SilverfromOZ »

WHATS THIS?! I return for a long exile and there are no new things happening?! Scarelige... I think that's how its spelt... uh... if not.... then I'll use my... shock and... stuff and a bulletproof excuse.... ahem.

Anyhoo, who remembers Shadow Raiders? Awesome planetary sci-fi shenanigans with an awesome plot darker than BW and BM combined. Scott doing his best Arnie impression as a bad guy composed entirely of anti-matter? Garry as a chovanistic toad? Ah, Femur, brilliant character. I was lucky enough to score a copy of the series on DVD back in Londontown and I still love it. For those who haven't seen it, find it, watch it, love it and come rant about it. For those who have rant about it here. :D
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

Just listen to your commander, bonebrain!

Oooh! I do! I do!

I loved that series. I so wish that there was a third season. I would have loved to see what happened after Reptizar was eaten.

Anyone else?

P.S. Femur and Pelvus were hilarious on more than one occation!

Yeah, Nyx, its strongly recommended. It is right up there with Beast Wars as an all time favourite (and it possibly did some things better cause they delved into some darker issues). Hope you enjoy it when you do see it.

WW, yeah I know! Where is the Beast? where was it heading? What happened yo Lamprey? So many questions... so little following.

I personally loved Graveheart's character "I'm just a miner." Such a simple line, but one that carried so much meaning. I think the best thing about Femur is how he grew throughout the series. When he adopted the plant "planet" he started to come into his own. It would have been really cool to see where he went from there. I have spoken to Razor One about this series and we both agree that "Girl's Night Out" is one of the most fun episodes they did.

One thing I'd really like to do is talk to Garry about playing Femur, beause I know he has lemented the typecast of cop/leader and Femur is quite far from those figures (although he's a "leader" of sorts).

War Planets! ... I mean, Shadow Raiders! I miss that show too! I never got to see the entire series, though. :( There must be episodes on YouTube... I liked Graveheart as well. ^_^ And the fire planet was awesome. Jim Byrnes had a cool character for that. More fire! I wonder if he's a pyro... There were a lot of familiar voices in that show from Beast Wars and Reboot.

Awesome topic, Silver! XD

Yes, Kathryn, check it out sometime! I liked it, though I hardly remember much from the show; just a select few characters and some of the planets.
"Well, that's just prime!"
