Transmutate's story is a sad one. No one can really even give it a gender, although some opt to call it female, as will I, since her voice actor was Susan Blu. Her pod crashed onto earth and got severely damaged. What emerged from the wreckage was a very damaged, distorted version of a Transformer that could not transform. Rampage took immediate interest in her, because he felt they were so much alike - both mutants and out of place in the TF world. Megatron was unimpressed with her lack of ability to transforme and ordered her to be destroyed. Rampage demanded he give her a chance, and Megatron agreed that if she could bring him the heads of the Maximals invading their territory, she could stay. A fight broke out between Silverbolt and Rampage, which Transmutate tried to stop with a powerful sonic blast. It was here that both factions could see how much power she contained. It was Silverbolt who brought her in to the Maximals. He was very accepting and sympathetic of Transmutate, and he was furious with Rhinox's conclusion that she had too much power for her own good, and seeing as she was unstable and had the mindset of a drone, it was best to put her in stasis lock. Silverbolt said that they should not do away with what is different, but embrace it. Transmutate showed some sign of emotion, as she took off, perhaps feeling hurt and unwanted. She came to Rampage's call. He was waiting for her outside and promised her he'd be her friend, and her only friend. Silverbolt pursued them and another conflict came about between Rampage and Silverbolt. Transmutate got in-between their blasts and took their shots, screaming at them to stop fighting. It cost her her life, bringing misery to both Rampage and Silverbolt. She had barely lived a day, and already the violence of the Beast Wars had claimed her.
