Beast Warrior: Rattrap
Faction: Maximal Gender: Male Variant: original in season 1, transmetal in season 2 Role in Beast Wars: spy, stealth fighter, demolition expert Animal: rat Transformations: in season 1, 2 modes; beast & robot. Season 2: 3 modes, vehicle, robot & beast Rattrap is one of those characters you just can't forget. He was a small character with a lot of personality, a lot of attitude and a lot to say. He was also one of the few characters to have an accent (he had a Brooklyn accent) He was part of the Axalon crew from the beginning and lasted right until the end of the Beast Wars. At first he wasn't too keen to fight the enemy and it was a big pain for Optimus to try and get him to follow most orders without hearing a good deal of moaning first! However, Rattrap was one of a handful of characters that really grew throughout the show. After a while, he began to realize that he needed to fight not just for himself but for his comrades if they were all to survive the Beast Wars. He put up less and less of a fight with Optimus when it came to following orders, to the point that he'd willingly risk his life to save everyone. He single-handedly took down Ravage's ship in the Agenda Part 3, which prevented the Decepticon from destroying the Maximals. Rattrap was not just a tough little fighter and spy, but very skilled, too. He could work as a technician and repair things, he was a demolition expert and he knew how to get in and out of places. He had a multitude of little tools which he used to pick locks or cut things. An excellent stealth fighter, Rattrap's agility and cunning aided him in finding out how the Predacons were aware of where the Maximals were going (He infiltrated the Predacon base and found that they had a Maximal decoder chip). Rattrap added some fun and light-heartedness to the Beast Wars in serious situations with his dry and pessimistic sense of humour. He is perhaps most loved for his squabbles with the ex-Predacon Dinobot, who joined the Maximal ranks after being kicked out of the Predacons. The two developed a love- hate relationship and although it would appear they despised each other, they actually were friends (though they'd never admit it!). Rattrap, like some of the other Maximals, became a Transmetal at the end of Season One and obtained a very cool new vehicle mode and a wicked tail spear. His weapons were a gun and little bombs which he keeps in a wrist compartment. He had an obvious set of interests and dislikes, too. He enjoyed playing games against the Maximal computer, insisted he was a hit with 'da ladies', had a fetish for some questionable foods and liked watching things explode. His bad point was that he was very prejudice and strongly hated Predacons and Deceptions, which could lead to him being a hothead when it came to face-offs with either faction. Overall, Rattrap was a well-loved character who proved his worth time and time again in the Beast Wars. Quote: "Let's
