End Game: Race to the Ruins
Part One
A large village of humans celebrate at their evening meal. Most of them sit around a large fire as a group of them play they’re primitive instruments. Dancers dance around the fire wearing masks and many sorts of jewelry. Three men walk up to the village with spears in hand. One of them has a barrel-like container. They walk up to the campfire circle and the one with the barrel lifts it up and yells victoriously. All the humans stand and cheer along with him. He puts the barrel down and joins the dancing. A small child walks up to the barrel and peeks inside, he lifts the lid and sniffs a blackish liquid. He turns away in disgust and tips the barrel over. The black liquid, which is whale oil, flows from the barrel, closer and closer it moves to the fire. Embers begin to hit the liquid setting it on fire. The liquid has now turned into a streaming puddle of fire as the people yell in fear. Men and women start running back and forth with buckets of water, trying to put the fire out, but to no use.
Time passes and the endless fire destroys the entire village. The people move on looking for a new place to settle down. They walk to a cliff’s edge and through the sea fog can see a large tropical island. They all point at it with excitement and begin climbing down the cliff to the beach.
The lab is empty all of the equipment Tarantulas was working with was gone. It was silent until a faint clanking sound slowly gets louder and louder until two red glowing eyes appear. The figure activates the lights and is revealed to be Megatron. Waspinator creeps in behind him. “ Megatron why is Waspinator here?” asked Waspinator. “ For protection of coarse… Yes…” said Megatron evilly. “Now my minion continue ahead of me.” Said Megatron. “But Waspinator does not want to be blasted. Megatron get blasted this time.” Wined the bug. Megatron grabs Waspinator by the throat and throws him into the middle of the lab. Just then Waspinator falls into a force field which is electrifying his circuits. Then the field shuts off thinking there is no other danger. Waspinator lays in pieces fried on the ground as Megatron walks over his body. Megatron walks to Tarantulas’ main computer console, “ Computer activate.” Said Megatron then he slips a small disc into a slot and the computer blinks on. “ Scan all logs and files in the database and download into this data disc.” Said Megatron. “ Working…. Disc override program in use wait for total access to main data core until download is initiated.” said the computer. After a few minutes the computer screen goes blank. “ Download complete.” Stated the computer. Megatron removes the disc and puts it into a device. The device emits a holo-screen and Megatron begins to read through the data.
Optimus and Sky are still decrypting the hieroglyphics with the help of Rhinox. As Rattrap snoozes at his station. Just then a beeping light on Rattrap’s console wakes him up. “Oh man just when I was getting into that dream. Hey what do we have here?” said Rattrap. “Yo, boss monkey we’ve got old jabber mouth and crab legs out on a stroll and guess where they’re headin’.” Said Rattrap. Optimus, Sky, and Rhinox turn, “ Where?” asked Optimus. “ To old beak bro’s hieroglyphic all you can eat buffet.” Reported Rattrap.
“What?!” gasped Sky as they all stand. “ We’ve got to stop them. Rattrap call all units tell them to converge to the ruins.” Ordered Optimus. “ If we’re reading these ‘glyphs’ right then we’re in deep trouble if Tarantulas gets his hands on that gate.” Said Rhinox. “ Gate? What gate? What da heck is goin’ on?” gasped Rattrap. “ Come on Rattrap we’ll explain on the way.” Said Sky as they all walk to the hatch and exit the ship.
Tarantulas and Rampage speed on the ground in their vehicle modes. Off in the distance is the jungle where the ruins are located. “ Where are we going?” asked the frustrated crab. “ To a place with power! Hehehehe.” Said Tarantulas. “ Finally we speak the same language. But what kind of power is this?” asked Rampage. “ We’ll lets just say that this power allows someone to be transported anywhere they wish.” Said Tarantulas. “ Hmmm… sounds good.” Said Rampage with a smirk.
Megatron still skims through the data and then he stops and carefully reads a section entitled ‘The Gateway.’ “ Hmmm... Fascinating, it seems my eighth legged spider has found a great gateway of unimaginable power. I cannot let him have control of this.” Said Megatron as he storms from the lab leaving Waspinator in pieces on the floor.
Optimus, Sky, Rattrap, and Rhinox fly through the sky. Rhinox with Optimus and Rattrap with Sky. They see tracks on the ground from Tarantulas and Rampage. “ I’d say those tracks were just made maybe 10 cycles ago. They’ve gotta be close.” Said Rhinox. “ My scanners are picking two units up ahead near the edge of the jungle.” Reported Sky, “ We must get there before they do. Sky lets go to maximum speed.” Said Optimus. “Right!” replied Sky as they blast off even faster then before.
Megatron quickly hovers over the land in vehicle mode, “Megatron to all Predicon units converge to grid Transit!” ordered Megatron, still speeding through the air.
Dinobot stands in beast mode looking up in the sky watching Megatron make his way over the horizon, “Dinobot to Optimus Primal.” “Optimus here! What is it Dinobot?” asked Primal over the comm.
“I have just spotted Megatron moving towards grid Transit. Prepare yourselves for battle.” Reported Dinobot. “Will do! Thanks for the warning. Optimus out.” And the comm. line cuts off. “Dinobot maximize!” exclaimed Dinobot as he transforms to robot mode. “Now for a warrior to get to his rightful place. In battle!” he exclaimed as he whips out his sword and runs in the direction Megatron was heading.
Tarantulas and Rampage crawl up to a large ancient stone door, which has two pillars of stone on each side. On the door a carving of a Vok is shown encircled in a ring. A small panel sits in the bottom left hand corner. Tarantulas transforms to robot mode and walks up to the panel. “ This will take time. Rampage keep a look out for you know who.” Said Tarantulas. Rampage shutters at again being forced to take orders from a lesser being, “ Rampage… terrorize!” He stands holding his tri-barrel cannon ready for action. “Once we’re inside I want my spark back.” Demanded Rampage. Tarantulas turns around, “You’ll get it don’t worry. Just do your job.” Said Tarantulas with a little giggle in his voice.

Rampage paces back and forth infront of the great stone doors as Tarantulas works the ancient panel trying to figure out the right sequence to push the crystal-like buttons. Rampage continues to grow impatient and begins to grumble about his freedom and such. Tarantulas turns and shoots Rampage an evil look, “Do you mind? I’m trying to work!” exclaimed Tarantulas very angrily. Rampage stops and turns towards Tarantulas, “Getting a little tense, huh. Finish the job spider.” He demanded. Tarantulas turns back to the ancient console and begins working again. Rampage turns back around and continues to pace back and forth. Then he stops… looks up through the trees into the sky, “Someone is coming.” He muttered. He turns around swiftly and levels his tri-barrel cannon at the stone doors, “Move it spider!” Tarantulas looks at him confused then leaps from his aim. “What are you doing!?” gasped Tarantulas as he cocks his cannon and fires at the doors. The missiles impact and shatter the doors to pieces on the ground, debris fly from the explosion hitting Rampage and Tarantulas. Rampage lowers his weapon and begins to step forward. “Fool you’ve now called attention to this area we will be spotted!” exclaimed Tarantulas as they walk side by side into the corridor. (Same corridor Sky went in) Rampage stops and looks at the walls, “What do you make of all this spider?” he asked while looking at the glyphs. “Some form of primitive writings. None of which concern us. Lets move!” said Tarantulas a little frustrated.
Optimus and Sky land at the stone pillars, which the doors were at one time, Rhinox walks up to the debris, “Looks like Rampage has been here.” He said as he bends down and looks closely at the debris. Optimus walks up to Rhinox, “Well lets hope we’re not too late.” Rhinox stands up and nods. Rattrap walks infront of Optimus, looks in the dark corridor within, and turns back to his leader, “Now if dis place don’t give you da creeps what does?” said Rattrap, he waits for a reply, but none comes. Optimus and Rhinox walk forward into the corridor ignoring the rat-bot, “Man is that what I get for just tryin to lighten the mood. Ya, soo ungrateful” mutter Rattrap as he takes up the rear behind Sky.
Tarantulas and Rampage walk out of the darkness and into a large room. Golden pillars line the walls with hieroglyphics cover every inch of the remaining space on the walls. A large ring stands upright in the center of the room, standing 10 feet tall and ten feet wide. A large console rests next to the ring with more hieroglyphics covering it. “Amazing.” Gasps Rampage as he takes in the site. “Indeed. I must figure out how to work it!” replied Tarantulas as he walks closer to the console. He looks over the console, feels the raised hieroglyphic writings beneath his claws. He turns and looks at Rampage, “ Activate the device.” Demanded Tarantulas. Rampage growls and takes a small spherical device out and places it in the doorway. He bends down and presses a few buttons, then the device activates and begins to hover over the ground. Rampage stands up, “This is what you have been creating all this time spider?” exclaimed Rampage as he looks back at the device, “I wasted my time waiting for you to put together a metal ball! I must be a fool to let you control me.” Tarantulas turns from the console, “Yes, and you will be thankful that I did waste your time with this. Thanks to my scavenging skills and your under water abilities we successfully scavenged pieces of very important systems from that maximal scout ship to make my newest creation… he he he he ha ha ha!” replied Tarantulas crazily. Rampage looks back at the device studying it, trying to see what use it could be. Just then a slide opens on top of the device and an auto-gun from the scout ship folds out, “Enemy units incoming.” Stated the spheres computer. Then another slide opens revealing a small field emitter. The emitter glows red and a force field establishes at the doorway of the great golden room. “Spiffy little gizmo.” Mumbled Rampage. “Now I want my spark.” Exclaimed rampage impatiently. Tarantulas turns and throws the spark casing at him, “There, now be quiet and let me work!”
Optimus, Rhinox, Rattrap, and Sky make their way through the dark corridors, “Man o’ man I don’t like da look of dis place. Gives me da creeps.” Whined Rattrap. “Pull yourself together Rattrap I can see a doorway ahead.” Replied Optimus. They walk up to the doorway, Optimus touches the force field with his finger and gets shocked. He looks in the room and sees Tarantulas at the console next to the giant ring, “Tarantulas no! You don’t know what your messing with!” Gasped Optimus. Rampage walks infront of the doorway, “ Hello maximal… and goodbye!” he chuckled. Optimus looks at him confused then sees the auto-gun, his eyes widen, then the gun begins firing. Optimus is hit in the leg, but is pulled from danger by Rhinox. They all hide behind a pillar just outside the range of the small auto-gun. Optimus looks to his Maximals, “Any suggestions?” Rattrap looks at him, “ A few of my charges could take out that field, but then there’s ol’ crab face to deal wit.” Said Rattrap. “Set the charges, but be careful that auto-gun can do some damage. I know…” said Optimus still feeling the pain of the guns shot. Rattrap nods and turns to beast mode. He scurries forward to the doorway, he looks at the auto-gun nervously as it sits there silent, he transforms and grabs the charges from his arm slots and places them on the ground next to the field. Just then the gun activates and begins firing again. Rattrap transforms to vehicle mode and rips away leaving a trail of smoke behind him. He speeds right past his fellow Maximals, “Take cover!” Optimus and the others turn back and begin running as far away as they can from the field. The charges explode violently shaking the ruins. The Maximals, on their knees with their arms covering their heads, get hit with debris from the explosion. The smoke settles on the ground and the field and the spherical device are gone. Optimus stands up and signals to his bots to move forward.
In the giant room Rampage lays injured from the close proximity to the explosion. He rubs his head and gets to his knees, “Your toy didn’t last to long.” Tarantulas turns to Rampage, “Keep the Maximals busy I’ve almost got this thing working.” Ordered Tarantulas. Optimus and Rhinox run in weapons aimed at Rampage, “Don’t even move.” Said Optimus as Rampage stays still on his knees. Rattrap and Sky run in, Sky with both wing blades drawn, and Rattrap with his blaster ready. Tarantulas turns and looks at the Maximals and whines in anxiety, he turns back around and quickly activates a few more glyphs. Then the ground begins to shake, Optimus loses his footing and falls over on Rhinox knock his chain guns out of this hand. Rampage whips out his tri-barrel cannon and fires. Optimus ducks and the missiles hit the wall causing pieces to cave into the room. Sky throws one of his wing blades at Rampage knocking him off his feet and into the wall. Stunned Rampage opens his eyes only to look down the gun barrel of Rattrap, “Thought you could strike us while we were down did ya. He he he. Wrong.” Joked Rattrap. The ring begins to glow brightly, the transformers all avert their eyes, when the glowing stops the center of the ring is filled with staticing energy, bubbling inside the ring shaped structure. They all look in amazement at the now active ring. Optimus walks forward and puts his fingers into the energy within the ring, “Amazing. I can feel the energy flowing throughout my body.” Tarantulas brings out his gun and aims it at Optimus’ head, “Yes… and I intend to have this gateway to myself!” exclaimed Tarantulas. Rhinox picks up one of his machine guns and aims it at the devious spider, “Drop it.” He muttered as he cocked the gun. Tarantulas looks at him annoyed and drops his gun, and raises his arms above his head.
Foot steps echo from the dark corridors, Megatron steps from the shadows aiming his charged attack arm at the Maximals, “Very good…. Very good indeed. Yesss….” He said as he walks into the room, “I thank you Tarantulas for activating this gate for me. And thank you Maximals for liberating it from my treacherous spider.” He said mockingly. Optimus turns around quickly and shoots Megatron an angry look, “Megatron you don’t know what you’re dealing with here. This gate’s power is unthinkable.” Said Optimus. “Oh, but I do know very well what this can do. From what I got from Tarantulas’ notes, by the way thank you for that Tarantulas,” Tarantulas growls in frustration at him, “I know that this gate can transport anyone or anything to any location in this galaxy. Meaning I can be everywhere and conquer everything!” exclaimed Megatron confidently. Megatron grins ~ Finally my day has come and soon I will rule Cybertron and beyond ~ “And yet you can not conquer your fault of arrogance Megatron. How do you expect to conquer anything else? ” Said Dinobot from behind Megatron. Dinobot stands sword drawn and optic lasers charged as Megatron slowly turns around, “Ahh… my dear Dinobot. Coming to the rescue once again. Unfortunately for you I have no time for the heroic cliche.” Megatron swings his attack arm towards Dinobot only to be stopped by Dinobot’s sword, they struggle, trying to push each others weapon aside, but with no luck. Then the clicking of weaponry echoes through the large room as Optimus and Sky stand weapons aimed behind Megatron, “Stand down Megatron.” Demanded Optimus. Megatron lowers his attack arm and turns to face Optimus Primal, “You’ve done it again Primal. Beaten me just before I would have again gained my supreme victory.” Megatron smirks and drops his attack arm on the floor, “How do you do it?” he asked sarcastically. “I win because evil can not go far on its own. You stand-alone only with your evil to guide you through your sorry life. Even with your Predicons to back you up you are alone. Waiting for a….” as Optimus continues with one of his famous speeches Megatron peers over to Rampage. Rampage looks at him, still guarded by Rattrap, and nods discretely. Megatron nods back and smiles. He turns his head back to Optimus, still going on with his speech, “Yes yes yes, are you finished?” muttered Megatron. Optimus stands infront of Megatron and lowers his weapon, “Can’t take anymore of the truth can you Megatron?” mocked Optimus. Megatron smirks, then rams into Optimus pushing Optimus, Sky, and himself into the center of the bubbling energy within the gate. They disappear through the energy. Rampage kicks Rattrap in the head, while he looks at the gate, causing the rat to fall unconscious on the ground. The crab-bot gets up and runs for the gate, as Rhinox turns toward him firing his machine gun. Tarantulas turns to vehicle mode and speeds into the corridor, “Time for this spider to scram!” he screamed as he exits the room. Rampage makes it into the bubbling energy and disappears as the others did. Rhinox runs up to the bubbling energy, about to jump into it, but it suddenly dissipates and the gateway is closed. “Optimus take care of your self… wherever you are.” Whispered Rhinox to himself.

Rhinox stands in the room along with Dinobot looking at the now inactive gate, “There goes a great warrior.” Said Dinobot sadly. Rattrap stands up and dusts himself off, “ I’m not slag yet Dino breath, but I’m glad ya care.” Joked Rattrap as he joins his fellow Maximals. “Err… shut up rodent. I did not die then come back to life to hear your insane dribble once again.” Exclaimed Dinobot. “Ya well it was much quieter around here when you were gone. So why’d you come back anyway. De afta life too scary for ya? Huh?” replied Rattrap now pointing his finger at Dinobot’s face. Dinobot pushes the rat away and looks up, “It was not my decision to return.” Stated Dinobot calmly. “Well who decided for ya? Ya mommy?” retorted Rattrap, having a great time with his old friend. “Errrr! Will you stop for just…” yelled Dinobot, but is interrupted by Rhinox, “ Shut up the both of you!” exclaimed the big bot. Rattrap looks at Dinobot and winks at him, taunting him, “ I apologize, Rhinox I should not let an inferior life form provoke such a response.” Replied Dinobot as he smirks at Rattrap. “Awe now that was a good one.” Complimented Rattrap. Dinobot nods in agreement and Rhinox shakes his head, “Optimus and Sky are out there somewhere with two dangerous Predicons and all you two can do is bicker. Now come on just keep your urge to fight off until this is all over.” Said Rhinox. Rattrap and Dinobot both nod and Rhinox walks over to the console next to the ring. Silverbolt, Blackaracnia, and Cheetor walk in the room, “What’s shakin’ cats?” asked Cheetor as he walks up to Rattrap and Dinobot. “Eee… Not much you just missed motor mouth push Optimus into some kinda energy gate thingy. Oh ya ol’ feather butt fell in too.” Answered Rattrap. Cheetor’s turns to Dinobot, “What happened?” “ Tarantulas managed to active that ring and it sent Optimus, Megatron, Sky, and Rampage to an unknown location.” Replied Dinobot. “But anywho what took you guys so long to get ‘ere?” asked Rattrap. “We ran into some opposition, but we took care of them.” Answered Silverbolt.
Megatron, Optimus, and Rampage lay unconscious on the floor, infront of another gate. Optimus flinches as his eyes open slowly, “I feel like slag.” He muttered as he sits up holding his head. He looks around to see Sky standing at another console. He gets up and slowly hobbles over to his bird friend, “What are you doing Sky?” Sky turns around a little startled, “Oh your awake. Finally.” Replied Sky. “What do you mean finally? How long have we been out?” asked the confused Maximal leader. “Its been over a mega cycle since I woke up and who knows how long before that.” Answered the bird-bot. “Hmmm…. What have you been doing all this time?” asks Primal. Sky turns back to the console,
“Trying to figure out where we are and what this place is.”
“Well?”
“Fortunately we’re still on Earth, we have just been transported to another continent, or rather island.” Explained Sky as he brings up a holographic map on the alien screen. “I thought that gate could bring objects to anywhere in the galaxy, why did we only end up on another part of this world?” asked Optimus. “It seems that this was the last place the gate was connected to and since Tarantulas did not give any coordinates for the gate to connect to it chose this place.” Explained Sky, “I’ve figured out how to operate most everything within this room, but I didn’t want to leave here and leave you vulnerable to Predicon attack.” Said Sky. Optimus smiles, “No wonder your Rhinox choose you to be his apprentice.” Said Optimus. “I miss him. But I am glad to be here with you Maximals, it’s an honor. After hearing all those stories about the adventures you all had I’m pleased to be apart of them.” Said Sky. Optimus looks at him and extends his hand, Sky reaches for it and they shake in admiration for one another. “How touching.” Murmured Megatron as he and Rampage stand. Optimus’ and Sky’s faces turn to the Predicon commander, “Hold off the fighting for a moment Megatron.” Said Optimus. Megatron looks at Optimus Primal curiously, “For what reason Primal?” “ We’re all trapped here and we’d be better off working together to find a way out rather then destroying ourselves.” Explained Optimus. Megatron nods, “I agree, but do not expect me to follow your command,” he turns to Rampage, “Come we have some exploring to do.” Megatron walks passed Rampage and to a large stone door, “Get this open Rampage.” He ordered. Rampage walks over to Megatron, “I am no longer under your control Megatron. And I have no restraint to stop me from ripping you from limb from limb.” Snarled Rampage evilly. “Ahhh yes go right ahead. Weaken yourself in a battle against me. Now, you may just defeat me, but you will leave yourself vulnerable and alone with Optimus and his stooge.” Replied Megatron confidently. Rampage looks at Optimus and Sky, then back to Megatron, “Errrr…. You are right ofcourse, but once this is over you will pay for controlling my life as you did.” Muttered Rampage angrily. “Good then we’re allied. Now open this door.” Said Megatron. Rampage turns towards the door, whips out his tri-barrel cannon, and fires at the door, destroying it easily. Megatron nods and smiles. He begins walking forward with Rampage following. Sky turns to Optimus after watching the Predicons turn the corner, “Optimus shouldn’t we follow them?” “No, we’re going to find out what this place is.” He replied, “ Now try and find out using this interface.”
He said pointing to the console. Sky nods and walks back to the console and begins typing on it. “It seems that there is a whole network of these gates around our galaxy, each an ancient Vok construct. This is a storage facility for some pretty fearsome weaponry made by the Vok centuries ago.” Explained Sky as he reads the data shown before him.
“We can’t let Megatron get those weapons or he’ll have a great advantage over us and could possibly win the Beast Wars.” Exclaimed Optimus as he too looks over the data.
Megatron and Rampage slowly walk down a large bright corridor. Windows line the hallway showing a forest and further away a beach. Megatron stops and looks out the window, “I remember this place. Yesss… This is that floating island I detected the powerful energy signals from. Yesss!” said Megatron to himself. “I remember that day you had us all get scrapped so you could get the great power from within here, great job you did that day.” Said Rampage sarcastically. Megatron turns around to him, “Yesss indeed that day was a failure, but now we are inside this great fortress. With great power at our grasps.” Said Megatron. Then the ground begins to shake and they stumble around the corridor trying to remain standing. “What’s happening?” growled Megatron.
A bright glow fills the room as the gate activates. The shaking stops and the bubbling energy surges within the confinements of the ring. “Optimus this is Rhinox can you hear me?” said Rhinox over the communications channel. Optimus looks at Sky, “They must be transmitting through the gate.” Said Sky. Optimus nods, “Rhinox this is Optimus I can hear you. Nice work.” “ Optimus get back here quickly I have found out something that you’d want to hear.” Said Rhinox over the comm. line. “Negative. We have to stop Megatron from getting to a large stash of ancient Vok weapons.” Replied Optimus. “You’d better hurry. If I’m reading these controls right this gate is running only on reserves and they’re not going to last much longer!” explained Rhinox. “Shut it down, reserve the power. Then in ten cycles reopen it and we’ll be on our way to ya. But If we don’t come through in a cycle or two; shut it down and destroy the gate. You can’t let it fall into anyone else’s hands. Optimus out!” ordered Optimus. The gate shuts down and Optimus turns back to Sky, “I’m opened to suggestions on how to stop those two in ten cycles.” Stated Optimus waiting for a reply from Sky. Sky stands there thinking for a few seconds, “ If we destroy the anti-graviton generator the island would sink into the ocean along with Megatron and Rampage. But the tricky thing would be to time it right. If we destroy the generator too soon our gate would power down and we’d be sunk, but if we do it just before we enter the gate we’d be able to get out of here. In theory anyway.” Explained Sky. Optimus considers his two choices, one, chase down Megatron and battle to each others death most likely, two, destroy the weapons, destroy Megatron, and get back to his crew safely. “Ok I guess we’re destroying the generator.” Said Optimus smiling ~ What a choice ~ Sky nods and turns to the console again.
Megatron and Rampage stand in an enormous room looking at a large arsenal of weaponry. Loads of boxes of ammunition and hundreds of Vok weaponry, less advanced as the present Vok technology, but still years over the Predicon and Maximals technology. ~ And this stuff is ancient (Lol) ~ They walk forward into he room. Megatron bends over and picks up a large bluish transparent rifle and practices aiming with it as Rampage looks at a large warhead, “Think of all the pain and suffering we can dispense with these weapons.” Said Rampage very excited. “Yes my crazed crustacean. Yes indeed.” They both stand in awe of the power they’ve just found.
Rhinox stands at the console waiting for the cycles to go by. As the time comes he looks to the gate, “Hope your there Optimus.” He said to himself as he activates the gate.
The bubbling energy has formed within the ringed gate as the shaking stops and the glow dims, “Its now or never Optimus.” Said Sky as he waits for the order to hit the switch to destroy the generator. Optimus walks to the console, “Go I’ll activate it once your through.” Ordered Primal as he takes the controls, “No I’m not leaving you here alone.” Exclaimed Sky. “Go! That’s an ordered!” demanded Optimus. Sky turns around and runs into the gate, disappearing before Optimus. Optimus looks back at the console and begins activating the overload in the generator. He peers to the door to see Megatron and Rampage coming up the corridor with two large bluish transparent weapons. Megatron glares at Optimus with an evil triumphant smile as he moves closer…
Sky erupts from the gate and lands on the ground. He gets up with the help of Rattrap, “Where’s monkey butt?” asked Rattrap. Sky turns around and looks at the gate, “He should be right behind me.” All the Maximals stand nervously staring at the gate, waiting for their beloved leader to pop from the swirling energy. A few moments later Optimus pops from the gate and the gate shuts down. Optimus gets up as his crew surrounds him, “Optimus what happened?” asked Sky. “Megatron. He got what he was looking for, but I activated the overload and left.” Said Optimus. Then they hear a loud ‘thud’ and the ground shakes slightly, “What was that?” asked Silverbolt. “That was the end of Megatron.” Replied Optimus. “What did I miss somethin’?” asked Rattrap confused. “We set the anti-graviton generators to overload. That was the explosion. That floating island we found a while back was where we ended up and now its probably on its way to the bottom of the ocean along with Megatron, Rampage, and some very dangerous Vok weapons.” Explained Optimus. “Finally we will be ride of Megatron’s arrogance and evil determination.” Said Dinobot. Cheetor walks up to Optimus with Megatron’s attack arm, “Here ya go big bot consider this a trophy.” Said Cheetor as he hands the weapon to Optimus. “I don’t want a trophy Cheetor. All I’ve wanted from the beginning of this war is to get all of us home safe and sound and that seems to be an unreachable destination.” Said Optimus sadly. “I might be able to give you what you seek.” Said Rhinox. Optimus turns a little confused, “What do you mean old friend?” Rhinox walks over to the console, “While I was trying to figure out how to get to you, via the gate, I learned how to work this thing. I may be able to calculation a set of coordinates to get us back… home.” Explained Rhinox. All they’re faces light up, eyes wide and mouths open. “Ya mean back to Cybertron. Yaaaahooooo!” exclaimed Rattrap. Rattrap jumps into Dinobot’s arms and pecks him on the cheek. Dinobot frowns in disgust and throws Rattrap to the ground.
The many people stand on the beach below the cliff with logs around them, some fashioned to be canoes for crossing the sea to the island they hoped to be their new home, but now they watch as it slowly sinks into the ocean. A muffled scream is heard from the island of Megatron’s voice, they all listen closely trying to make out what the voice is saying. A man steps into the water and puts his ear to the direction of the now sinking island, “A…lan... us” he miss heard the words but it did not matter to him or his people, a new legend was started…
Four days later the Maximals walk into the great golden gate room with boxes of belongings and their prisoners of war Minotaur, Waspinator, Inferno, and Quickstrike. Rhinox walks over to the console and puts down his case of personal belongings, “ Activating gate and putting in the coordinates for Cybertron.” Said Rhinox as he works the controls. The Maximals all stand waiting for the gate to activate. The room shakes as the glow of the gate fills the room. After a few moments the glow dims and the tremors fade as the bubbling energy establishes within the gate. The captured Predicons look at the shimmering energy in amazement. Sky, Blackaracnia, and Silverbolt push the Predicon prisoners through the gate along with themselves. Optimus, Rhinox, Cheetor, Rattrap, and Dinobot stand in front of the gate looking at it shimmer, “Well Maximals its been a heck of a time fighting with you. I’m glade we had the chance to get to know one another the way we did. As we go back to our lives on Cybertron, most likely split up, I want you all to remember the brave transformers lost helping us in the Beast Wars; Tigatron and Air Razor, they were great comrades and we should never forget them. We should never forget our time together in the BEAST WARS!” exclaimed Optimus. “Let’s go already.” Joked Rattrap. Optimus nods happily as they all walk forwards in to the shimmering energy bubbles and disappear.
