You stand tall, arrogantly flaunting 

your power over me

Looking upon me with that same, infuriating expression

A smug grin and wicked-laughing eyes

You assume you strike terror into me

As you hold up my heart

Wedged between crystal jaws of pain

When all the while I am hating you

And waiting, waiting...

When I defy you and ignore

your orders and demands

You push down slowly on those jagged teeth

And I mimic the motion as I

crumble to my knees

Why, of course it was a smart idea!

To treat a monster like a monster would 

For there is no form of torture worse

Than gradually impaling a soul on spikes

knowing

there isn't the mercy of death

So you press on, confident in your way

But although our futures be uncertain

And our alliance begrudging and unstable
