Please Do Not Feed the Spambots

Hi all,
Some of you may have noticed that we've had spambots register at the boards and post spammy posts. Please ignore them. They're coming in 4-6 'bots at a time and I usually go after them in the morning before they post anything, but sometimes they do before I can get here.
A note to brand new members, or those thinking about registering:
If you register and your account gets deleted by accident, I apologize in advance. Spambots are getting harder to tell apart from real members. To prevent getting zapped, please fill out your profile as completely as possible and then post in the "Introduce Yourself!" section, either in your own thread or the Lurker Thread.
Thanks muchly, and I now return you to your regularly scheduled Beast Wars craziness.

No worries gareth, what I mean by "spambots" aren't real people. Well, they might be, but it's a generic poster who almost always posts unwanted ads on unwanted subjects. They're almost always selling drugs, porn sites, naughty pictures and stuff that simply should not be seen on these boards. Some of them register to simply take up space too. And some of them are just computer programs that go out in search of message boards to randomly post garbage.
Spammers are similar to Spambots. The difference being that spammers are blatantly people, and aren't out to sell something. It's a very similiar topic. Just ignore anything that looks like spam. It'll go away as soon as we know about it.

Heh, thanks Lady Ocelot, I got 'im.
The first thing I do is check the memberlist and boards for spambots when I get here, so there's no need to post anything here.
*goes back to board patrol*

lol well, posting in a spambot's thread won't do any good because most of the time they're not even real people. Just ignore them.
Hee, no need for bowing, Jag. I'm an Admin since the others are away for now and only Admins have the ability to kill spambots.
*hands over a bag of ice* You really shouldn't bend like that, you know.
If there are any other Spambot-ish updates, I'll let ya'll know.
