i hated the fact that they were taken away *bawls*

and then came back as....TIGERHAWK?!?!?!?! ya sure they are one now with eachother my spark will find yours lalala but (now dont get me wrong love the guy) why was tigatron the dominant spark? i remember reading about it somewher but cant for the life of me remember what their reason was...

oh and again...

Airazor and Tigratron served their purposes within the series. They were the overall enviornmental conscience for the series. Being more in tune with their Beast Modes and whatnot and gave off the "We need to protect our envorinment" vibe quite well. As for more... I suppose its a little difficult because Tigatron may have stepped to far into the mentor position for Cheetor which was filled by Optimus. Additionally, Airrazor and BA on the Maximal team may have given it too much of a female imbalance. Perhaps the introduction of an additional female pred may have helped there, however knowing Hasbro's marketing division, they may have been given express orders to keep the series as "boy-oriented" as possible because that would have been their primary consumer base.

Here's an idea (an anyone can run with this if no one has done already) what about a fan fic explaining the adventures Tigatron and Airrazor encounter during their abduction. We see them frozen in stasis when Tigerhawk is created, however there's nothing to say that everything went smoothly with the abduction. Maybe they escaped and found other such "prisoners". Just a thought. I have Beast Machines to continue with so I'm focusing on that, but if anyone wants this arc by all means run with it.

Annnyway, I agree that Tigatron and Airrazor served their purpose, especially since the wildlife they coveted so much had been burned away by the Vok. Their usefulness as they were was coming to a close. Transmetals came into play, then fuzors, and they would've slipped behind just like all the other non-TM bots just as Dinobot and Rhinox did, what with constantly being in the CR chamber--Rhinox even comments on it. Even Inferno's massive amounts of raw power couldn't help him every now and then, and of course Dinobot died. With escalation going on they would've served an even lower purpose. What with Rampage, Depth Charge and the TM2 bots (most notably Dinobot 2 and Megs himself) shortly after. I believe they would've simply gone back to the wild when it later regrew.

Actually the whole frozen in stasis thing and their return was explored in the old 3H Botcon comics. The Primordial Dawn storyline if I recall correctly.

I'll try and dig up a link a little later for you folks.

(However it is still a darn cool concept that unfortunately got lost when Botcon began switching hands about 4 years ago.)

Screw it. Velociberg. If you've got an idea how to run with the concept I say go with it anyway. Giving people options and a differing story is part of the fun (other most fan fic would be impossible, I believe someone made the joke of the 12314135552768 stasis pods orbiting earth that was being used in fan fic

I most assuredly think that we shoulda seen more TT and AR. I hated to see them go, and you people who say they "served their purpose" make me puke.

They were so much fun, and very nice looking too!
