The Intergalactic Highway

*chuckles* And the only reason why I know about this day is that I saw a certain movie called "V for Vendetta," based upon a graphic novel (comic book for those who don't read them) by David Lloyd. It centers around a man in a Guy Fawkes mask called V who plans a revolt against what had become a facist British government, all the while twisting the events that had really happened, inspiring the holiday on the fifth of November.

I'm not gonna put the second verse in, because it might make some people mad, considering that it's overly critical towards Catholicism and the Pope.

Happy Guy Fawkes' Day!!!

Heheheh, I've long known about Guy Fawkes day, because it's celebrated in some of Britain's ex-colonies, such as South Africa. Here they also call it Bonfire Night. Each village in the Chilterns seems to have set aside a night leading up to and including the 5th of November to celebrate and last night it would appear it was Great Missenden's turn, as the sky over the forest I can see from my bedroom window was alight with fireworks. It makes me nostalgic for South Africa, because while Guy Fawkes was not heavily celebrated there, Diwali was always just before it and because I lived in a Hindu neighborhood, I got to see the most spectacular displays.

I hope everyone else in England and any other places that celebrate it enjoyed the fireworks. :p
