I believe Madman is distributing the region 4 BW DVDs, meaning they're distributing for Australia. I don't know anything about reliability, but if you don't have a region 4 DVD player, you wouldn't be able to watch it. (Dunno if you do or not, but it's an important thing to keep in mind.)

I've got Madmans Season 1 & 2 currently. I've unfortunately been unable to trawl through all the special features mainly because the DVD player I have is terrible and loves to skip horrendously on all the disks =\
The moment I get a better DVD player though, I'll let you know what those features are =\

I bought season 1 from the New Zealand madman website(
http://store.madman.co.nz/advanced_sear ... rs&x=0&y=0). The service was alright with the box arriving a few days later, but 2 of the dvds were defective. They let me send them back, but I didn't return the favour and just bought season 2 from a local gamestore hehehe.
The Interviews with Bob Forward and Larry DiTillio are pretty good(3 in total, each of them separately and 1 together) and there are some pretty interesting bits in the audio commentaries, like how they were originally going to have some g1 transformers music playing during the scene where Ravage transforms into a cassette. They said it was one of those moments that brought tears to the eyes and that everyone who watched it absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, they didn't have the rights to the song so they had to make do with a regular beast wars tune.

:(:(
But really, I'm just glad that I can watch beast wars again! I missed a lot of little details when I first watched it. Megatron seems so awesome now! Can't wait for season three.

The DVDs themselves are reigion 4 and my DVD player plays all reigions I think. You'll definatly need to check what reigions yours plays.
Some parts of the defective dvds worked okay, other parts were skippy.

I've recently bought the R4 Beast Wars DVDs (there's a serious lack of Beast Wars DVDs in the UK!) and they were worth every penny!! I got Season 2 first to check out the quality and that and it was fantastic! So Seasons 1 and 3 are on there way!
There is a way of hacking DVD players through the remote which is how my region 2 player is able to to play any region DVD now. It was remarkably simple! There's a whole site about being able to hack the regional codes, all I had to do was press 9 on the remote 4 times then press the button of the region I wanted (in this case region 0 as it can play anything). Unfortunatly not all DVD players can be hacked which is a bit of a shame. I could hack the one in my room, but the one in the lounge can't be hacked

From what I've gathered from the site Panasonic's can't be remotly hacked.
But still the R4 DVD's are soooo worth it! Audio Commentary's!! Interviews!! It's all too good

This topic be festering! **holds nose**
The box sets are being sold in stores within region 4. Internationally, like the UK or USA, they are not and can only be ordered online.
