One of the master voices for cartoon villians over the last decade has died. Tony Jay -- the voice of Megabyte from "ReBoot", Chippendale Chairface from "The Tick", and Frollo in Disney's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", among other roles -- was recovering from surgery to remove a non-cancerous tumor in his lungs since last April. His vital signs went critical, and despite his own determination to survive, he finally succumbed on Sunday, August 13.

Oh my goodness, that's awful. I don't believe it. I'm very sad now. I loved his work and his voice. In fact, Megabyte was one of my favorites on ReBoot (next to Turbo and Hack and Slash). This is terrible, terrible news.
But thank you for informing us, Outty. Such a sad way to lose a well-respected actor. I wish I could have met him.

I think we should get a laser and write "CHA" on the moon in his honor. I think it'd be appropriate. I loved Chairface Chippendale.
'Tis a sad day.

Yikes! I can't believe it. I didn't even know he had cancer.
I remember him from one of my favourite shows: Savage Dragon. He played this main evil guy Overlord. I loved Jay's voice, it gave me chills and in a couple of children shows (Miss Sunny's Patch or whatever it was called, I only had it on for about a minute) made me laugh.
Looks like whatever chances of reviving Reboot has just gone out the window.
RIP Tony Jay.

You forgot one: The Elder God of Legasy of Kain. You have to hear it to believe it.

'Tis a sad day indeed for the world to lose such an incredible voice, and a talented actor.
