We started March 1, 2009 (in my time zone), so it's actually been two days more than two years, but technicalities...
We have written 199 pages, including one that isn't completely full.
I feel like this calls for a detailed analysis, but it's too late at night to start one right now.
So, it has been two years...

I don't know about detailed, but here's my analysis:
I like the current pace of the RPG. It took nearly 6 months to finish "Beast Wars Part 1" but the most recent OC episode was barely less than 2 months with more than double the posts and pages. The fact that we're mainly playing with OC episodes gives us more creative freedom over the actions of canon characters, OC characters, as well as the timeline.

I completely agree with you, Alak. While I was concerned at first to drift away from the script, I'm glad we did.
Everyone is doing such a tramendous job. Thank you! I hope all of you are having fun with it.

Heh, clearly something must be going right for it to live this long.
But yeah, at the going rate and more looseness of it now.. we should be able to hit season 2 by the end of the year or sooner then my originally projected 9 years. So that is a huge success!

The OOC episodes allow players to use their imaginations more than a scripted episode, which for most players is much more fun to do than to stick to an episode we already know the outcome of.
I never joined the scripted episodes for this exact reason. It simply wasn't very interesting to me to rewrite a book I already saw on tv years ago. :p
