Microsoft is offering free webhosting as part of a beta testing of Microsoft Office Live. It's not a HUGE amount of space, but you do get 30 MB of space, daily back-ups that are kept in memory for up to 30 days, 10 GB of bandwidth (so you can't have streaming video and such), 5 personal e-mails, site creation tools, tech support, usage tracks of hits to the site made up into pretty little graphs, and free web hosting even after the beta testing is over. It's not enough space to create a site like BWINT, but it would be enough for someone to create a site of their own, like a fan site or place to showcase their artistic creations that they could point to as being their own domain.
Clicky Clicky
I'm thinking of creating a site for my "production company" Moose Media and posting links to where the videos are on Google video so people can view them.
EDIT: NOTE, you still need a credit card to ensure that you are a real person and what-not. Stupid Microswift, needing a credit card for a free account.
Stumbled across something pretty nifty
