The Intergalactic Highway

As the title says it, TF ROFT was the most watched movie of 2009.

First question: Why?

Second question: Moreso than Avatar? I find that hard to believe.

I don't why to tell you the truth.

I think it might have something to do with the fact that Avatar was only released on the 18th of December.. if it had been released at the same time as TF:RotF, Avatar would have beat it by a long shot.

I'll have to agree with you on that, even though i haven't seen Avatar yet.

Right before Christmas doesn't strike me as the ideal time to release a movie like Avatar.. I'm sure many people were busy with Christmas stuff and didn't go to watch it yet.

Having seen both, and I hate saying this, I found both movies to have some.. shortcomings.. But if I had to pick a favorite, I'd have to say Avatar was a bit better.

I haven't seen Avatar so I don't really have an oppinion on it, but honestly I'm glad New Moon didn't make the top spot, but in my oppinion, I think it's better to have ROTF on top then that one.

As for why it's on top I don't know really. Maybe it's decided by how much a movie made at the box office or something like that.

Yeah Phoenix is right about that. I'll tell you that I wasn't going to see Avatar because of all of the hype and all of that but I saw it and it was very good. I'd say it was the best movie from a story and character view point since The Dark Knight. I guess having Transformers Revenge of the Fallen as the most watched movie isn't too terrible. I also don't understand Twilight so I'm glad it wasn't the most watched. All I know is that I could watch the forest battle scene a whole lot.
