I'm looking for townhouse this fall.
Hey guys,
Earlier this week, I decided to starting looking for a place to live to living alone myself with my cats this fall. It was much easier decision I’ve ever made in my life ever since my friends told me a few months ago about being living on my own, live anywhere I wants to.
So begun this week, I’ve been looking for a good price that can’t be unbeatable, I thought that the apartments would do a good thing for me, but I changed my mind about apartments, but go for townhouse this time around. My jaws was dropping on the floor after viewing the price! I don’t know if it’s real or not, I’m going to let you decide that.
The prices is between 195-199 dollars per month for my rent. Is it good thing for me to start that? It’s three bedroom, two bathroom. I figured that I should take it, because my family from England will be coming here to visiting us, there won’t be more rooms for them to sleeping around, so I will offer that rooms for them.
Guys, should I trust that price or not? I’m worried that I’m being fooled by this site.
Speaking of townhouse, I’m very nervous about living alone for the first time ever, because there’s no one for me to discuss with for that interesting topic for us to discussing about. I’m worried that I won’t be survive through one day enough already, so how can I overcome that fear of living alone? My cats will be accompany me in my new home, but not good enough for that isloation, I need somebody to talks to.
I’m hoping that you’ll be able to help me to overcome that fear of living alone!

When looking for ANY place to live, look at security.
For rent, is your utilities included? How well is the rooms? Are the walls nice and insulated? How is the heat run with if you have to pay for it? Oil and coal type heat is expensive as hell, and while rent might cost $200, heating and power bills could be $600.
Look for places that include utilities, I've worked and been a stand in Landlady before for this apartment, and I've lived in crappy ones as well.
PM me with any questions and I'll be more than happy to help as best I can.
-addendum to above-
Call the places and ask for a tour of the unit, and ask as many questions as possible. Do you need a security deposit? Is it a month by month lease, or a yearly lease (in which you'll be locked in for a year at a time, like mine is, it's nice and secure that way).
Any other questions you need help while touring the site is good too, and be careful, a lot of places don't allow pets.

Good luck! Make sure you keep yourself well versed in your rights as a tenant, and have the tenancy board number on hand and never feel bad about calling to double check things if you're unsure of your rights, that's what they're there for!

Yes, NY is very expensive. New Jersey is another expensive state to live.

Time to revive this thread now.
Guys, I'm thinking of taking this apartment which is far more beautiful than I ever saw since I left New Jersey that are too damn expensive for me to live. As of right now, I have only about 500 dollars left now, I don't know what happens to rest of my money, last I checked, I had over 1,000 dollars that would be enough for me to cover the rest for the rent.
Here are the apartments that I'm talking about: Two apartments that I'm considering of taking...Keswick apartments or The landing apartments. They're looking too damn nice, very home-ish!

that sounds great
I hope you have much fun.
I lived for myself six months in Germany. It was great because my parents were not always asking where I was and what I would do and if I did all my homework....
now I am back at home because I still must finish my studies for tweo years
