As the Transformers movie was originally set to be released on my birthday (it's now been brought two days forward, not that I'm complaining!) I've decided to throw myself a big, Transformers-themed party this year, so anyone who might be in England between the dates of the 24th June and the 26th from this here forum is invited. :p I've already told a lot of my University friends and they seem amused that the criteria for attending is either dressing as a Transformer, wearing something Transformer related or bringing a Transformers gift. XD I may go as far as getting a TF-themed cake made before we all attend the movie. I don't know how many people will attend such a geeky gathering, but really, even if I just had two good friends with me to enjoy the film, I'd be happy.

Thinking of ways in which I could spice up the shabby surroundings of my student house in preparation (yes, I know I'm getting way ahead of myself, but hey, I'm excited!) I looked at what merchandise might be available and found this:

I'm sure the more hardcore fans among you will have already seen it, but it makes me squee, especially the clothing and bags.

And, well...this thread serves no other purpose other than to offer a link, invitation and much enthusiasm. ^_^

*anguished sigh*

Why?! Why can't I live in England! I wish I was old enough to make my own travel arrangements, but I'm underage. Sadness. I wish you an early birthday Sapphire! Be sure to take pictures and have a blast!

*coughs innocently, and nonchalantly raises hand* Count me in  Though I would request that you get my ticket for me ahead of time, and I'll just pay you back when we go! Heheheeee! Transformers. In London. This is going to be ultra cool!

I aspire to move to the UK someday. It's a lovely place, and all the best websites, and online friends from overseas seem to be there...

We'll have to throw you an online celebration here at the Forum. I'm sure we'll come up with something...

Let me know whether you want me to wear my Optimus Prime t-shirt,or my Decepticon symbol on that day. I want to celebrate it,even if I can't be with you! :D

*Evil pouty glare*

I'll be doing summer school. Even then, it's only a few days after school finishes.

Well.....if anyone's still in the UK in July and wants to see it again...I'm in! The O2 in London is huge, and that's actually where I saw the first one! ^^

Hope you have a swell party anyway, Sapph!

Well, that makes things easier in many ways. I'll just be completely avoidant of the Internet for two days until I see the film, as I don't want to read any spoilers!

*huggles Joshin* Glad you're coming to my side of the world, and at such a good time, too! =D

Ah, damn, I'll be out of the country exactly then. But this sounds exactly like the kind of birthday parties I usually throw  Good luck with preparations and for my consolation, it seems like I'll be seeing you in Birmingham after all :D

Yup, if things go smoothly, me too. And with a friend! Hurray!
But I wish Sapphire would post one or two pictures from that party. I'd love to see about twenty dumbfounded people in transformer costumes looking uncertainly at the camera

This might throw a little wrench in your plans, Sapph. The release date of Revenge of the Fallen in the UK has been moved up 5 days, to June 19th:
