The Intergalactic Highway

Some of you may already be aware of this but I wanted to make an official post about it so everyone knows why my time will be limited on-line during this upcoming week and weekend.

I decided (back in January when VIP tickets were on sale) to attend my first Stargate convention (the Gatecon), which is being held from August 21-24 in Vancouver, BC, Canada. For anyone curious, you can check out the website here.

I'm very excited. XD The website STILL doesn't have Garry listed, but I've heard it from him and it was announced in an e-mail from Gatecon that he was the latest guest added a couple weeks ago. So the great "Optimus Primal" will be there for his SG-1 character as Russia's Colonel Chekov. Yay! (See? I told you he'd still do Stargate conventions. )

I will be flying out of Pennsylvania at around 6am on Wednesday, August 20, making a stop at Chicago, and then flying off again for Vancouver, due to arrive around 10am (weather permitting). I'm planning on having a laptop with me so that I won't be so scarce on-line but I have no idea how much time I'll be able to use it. I won't be back home until Monday, August 25 sometime in the morning. So I think that's about it for now. I have lots of packing to do!

I will definitely be taking pictures and hopefully video, but this convention sounds pretty strict. At least on the RDA stuff, anyway. I'll tell Garry you said hi! ...And I scare him all the time. It's more fun that way.

I'm back! Sorry I haven't been around for the past... week? Even though I had a laptop that was capable of wireless connection, it was NOT capable of the use of an ethernet cable which was all the high dollar hotel had. ...I still can't understand why it wasn't wireless like most hotels are these days. Oh well. I had a blast at the convention and tons and tons of fun with Garry so I'll have photos and a report soon. Maybe on the weekend I can get that all up.
