Most Memorable Megatron

Unread post by artemis-lady-warrior »

Or Animated Megatron?

which one do you think you'll remember the most vividly in about 20years?

For me it would probably be Beast Wars Megatron because he was about the only character from beast Wars I remembered clearly when i started watching the episodes again.

lol nobody wants to remember Energon Megatorn anyway. He was a swrapist.

I voted Beast Wars Megatron... reason being he has so many little quirks that make him hard to forget.... "yeeeeeeeeeeesss..."

Also, growing up I saw G1 at a much younger age than Beast Wars, so BW is a little more vivid in my mind (even tho I have the entire G1 boxed set on DVD)... also, BW Megatron is one of my fave characters in the whole BW series, whereas I prefer G1 Galvatron over G1 Megatron...

I voted Megatron, because the question was who I'd remember the most, and since I watch Beast Wars a lot more than anything else...

But still, Bay movie and G1 Megatron were both memorable.
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

G1 Megatron will be remembered by all people, since his generic villany will always prevail.

However,I will remember BW and BM Megatron.BW was a cunning megalomaniac, with a great backstroy, questionable relationships to his former seconds-in command(Especially with Dinobot),propaganda, and his lines.

Beast Machines Megatron blew all Megatrons away, even the Animated one.He thinks as if he were God,obsessed for pure perfection of himself and the idea to eliminate all organic life is just great(Although I do hate his design)

I personally found Megs in the Bay movie to be overly 2D. Unfortunately, this is a common thing amongst most of the decepticons (probably barring frenzy who got the most screen time) with the distinct lack of character development. I understand that time constraints didn't allow for them to do so and this leaves a great deal of room for development in the next couple of films. The only things that made Megs really shine were all of the G1 references and the fact that he was hiiiiuge, but aside from that there was no real indication of the brilliant tactial mastermind which Megs should embody. Maybe I'm just to used to a Megatron who soliloquises within earshot of Autobot spies but for me, Megs doesn't need to be evil, he needs to be smart. You don't rule the decepticons on strength alone (otherwise Devastator would have been it for G1) and I really love how Megatron and the Predacons were brought into the grey area of "are they really evil" in the BW world. My pet peeve line in the whole show is Meg's "the Autobots lose. Evil triumphs." My viewpoint is that Megatron really thinks that he is doing his best to help the Predacon cause (or at the very least this was his original intention). He hates the Maximals and there are a number of suggestions that there is alot of good reason for him to do so. We have a great, well-rounded character who is a tactical mastermind, strong and buff, eloquent, smooth voiced and strong willed. What more do you want? :D
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

Just listen to your commander, bonebrain!

Quoted for win. BW Megs is just so...UNIQUE, from all the other Megatron's, who more or less all copy the original G1 Megs. But not Beast Wars Megatron...Noooo. :D

bW Megatron is definitely the most memorable one. For all the reasons you guys have stated already. There's also the fact that his design was obviously unique.

Though Animated Megatron is proving to be quite the villain....

Beast Wars Megatron. achoolly, i started watching BW at 3, stopped at 6, started again at 10, but then at 10 when i saw megs, i remembered him almost perfectly, so i think he is the most memorable of all megatrons. also, during the 4 years i didn't watch BW, i watched other transformers like armada and eventually energon, but now when i think back to the megatrons from those shows, i realize i've forgotten pretty much everything bout em.

Beast Wars for me too. The first Megatron I came across, and the one I've seen the most of.

Same for me as well BW Megatron was the first I came across and the one I've seen the most of. Beast Wars was the first transformers series I ever watched and my connection with it is like most transformers fans from the 80's with G1. Where as most people from the 80's were trukk not munky fans. When Robots in Disguise came out I was a munkky not trukk person.

So anyway I voted BW Megatron for the above reasons and for everything SilverfromOZ said.
"And now, Optimus Prime, in memory of the Decepticons... for the glory of the Predacons... for the Cybertron that is rightfully ours, and mine to rule! ... I unleash the storm of vengeance -- farewell!"
