yeah, i know about the arcee thing. she was supposed to be 9' for the movie. i think they should make her around 13', so she'll only be as lil shorter than jazz (who is 14', compare to 32' optimus ).

as for other movie info, nada.

Today my boss brought this to my attention:
Philly film projects

Neat twist surrounding the action movie Transformers 2, whose production will be based in Philly for the better part of June. I hear that director Michael Bay and crew also will shoot in Bethlehem, Pa., which will double as a city in the Far East. (A twist in the notion of sending American jobs overseas.)
Some of you may know I live on the eastern side of Pennsylvania. I'm about an hour's drive north of Philladelphia (aka Filth-adelphia or Kill-adelphia) and Bethlehem is right down the road from me, so I'm a little excited to hear about this. I never thought anything with the TFs movie would come close to my state let alone the cities nearby. I don't know if I'll get a chance to get down to Philly when the filming is happening, but hopefully I'll catch something in Bethlehem. Historic Bethlehem is really nice but I can't really see anything resembling the "Far East" anywhere. Does any one else live nearby either of these locations? I'll have to keep an eye out for any familiar vehicles on trailers rolling down the highways.

All I've heard is that Megan fox, Peter Cullen and Shia LaBeouf will be returning. And The movie might include the Constructicons and Soundwave. Also, Michael Bay wants to have a Transformer with an aircraft carrier Alt mode. And there will not be any Dinobots.

I think the Constructicons are all but officially confirmed. Their presence has been heavily hinted at in more than one interview.

For kicks 'n giggles, though, check out this TF2 Long Haul concept art, done by an artist that is now actually working as a concept illustrator for the TF2 movie (the Long Haul art itself isn't official, but you can get an idea of the design elements they're looking for in the Constructicons since this guy was hired on because of stuff like this):

I WANT THIS AS A TOY. NOW.

There's also this casting list put out by Michael Bay and Co. for new human roles for the sequel (MAJOR spoilers on one of the roles, though, so read on with caution!):

...

Is it my imagination, or aren't some of those characters similar to ones in fics on ff.net? Chuck reminds me of the kid in "Iron and Grace.." 0.o

 Yep, that is one heck of a spoiler.

... Now I can't wait. Slag.

I'm starting to have an idea of what the plot is about, but then again I'll be surprised to see what happens on their second draft.

More humans and a dead annoying chracter.-_-

Punk girl huh?

Older....Ah slag I swear they're making thier own plotholes.

Anyway,I do enjoy the idea of the Construticons being their, but,we might get mislead, being the whole 'fake infromation'and all.I'd laugh that it turns out that it's not the Constructicons but the Dinobots.

I swear,Long Haul looks like an altered combination of Trantech Immorticon and Scavenger

Aircraft carrier rumours were shot down by the producer http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-new ... el-164838/

which is a shame because in my mind there is no cooler vehicle on this planet. I hope we get some info soonish about the release dates because I need to go to the next movie-based Botcon for the last one was tre awesome, however there are some big gears turning in my life at the moment and big choices e.g. property purchases, job advancement and generally big shenanigans that well help me become Tony Stark (yes, saw Iron Man and LOVED it  )

As has been said by various people (including myself) on other threads, the biggest thing that I am looking forward to is Decepticon character development. Bring on Screamer's scheming side and a Megs that pontificates on mountaintops surrounded by lightning before transforming into a flying T-rex.... too specific? :D

Apparently the aussie release for Transformers 2 is June next year. I want to see them put in Blurr, the insecticons, maybe even Soundwave or the other Seekers. If you want the short summary, it's here:http://hoyts.ninemsn.com.au/movie/2971.asp

TFs 2 Open Call in Philly

The TransFormers 2 open call was held this morning in "Kill-adelphia," PA. My brother and I drove down there to attend. They were looking for anyone and everyone from ages 18-70, with a little specification of college age talent. SAG members were scheduled to be taken from 10am-11am, with non-union people from 11am-3pm. We showed up at 10am and hopped in line right away. In addition to the 8x10 headshots we had of ourselves with attached resumes, they also had everyone fill out forms that asked for contact information, height and weight. It also asked for specific measurements; for women it asked bra size, jean size, dress size, shoe size, waist size and hip size. And for men it asked neck size, sleeve size, show size and pants size. If you didn't know all of your measurements, and they allowed you past the doors, then you could do it inside the Spectrum building, handing them your paperwork, and taking another snapshot if they didn't like the one you brought. It worked out quick and easy, and I'm glad we got there as early as we did because the line got long real fast. It was also good that we got there early because they were calling for severe storms, which didn't arrive until about 11:15 or so. We had already left there at about 10:50am, so they were ahead of schedule. Some people they stopped at the Spectrum's doors and took their paperwork. I'm not sure if that meant they were already filtering people at that point, but we'll see if my brother and I get called. Everyone was nice and we met some cool people, so I think it was all worth a shot. Here are some photos I took while we were down there:

This is where it was held in Philly at the Wachovia Spectrum.

Where we were in line when we arrived.

The Bullies restaurant they mentioned on the casting website.

Heading down the stairs where they started sorting people at the door.

The hockey statue we and another couple we met started making Jason Voorhees jokes.

The line behind us getting longer while we were at the top of the stairs.

The line outside the Spectrum after we entered, took our measurements and handed in our paperwork.

Part of the line near the building when we were leaving.

The end of the line down the parking lot behind the trees when we were leaving.

A lot of people showed up, so we'll see what happens. Until then, I'm going to try and get some shots at the filming they'll be starting in Bethlehem this Monday.
