Can TM2 Cheetor fly?

I know that as a transmetal Cheetor possesses jets in beast mode that enable him to fly, but as a TM2 he only possesses a single rocket on his back that enables him to run at speeds of mach 2 over land. However, can TM2 Cheetor use his rocket pack to fly? Or can he only use it to jump high and run wicked fast? I just have trouble picturing him maneuvering in the air with a single jet, and can't recall seeing him air born as a TM2 during the series. anyone know the answer to this question?

P.S. if TM2 Cheetor does have a flight mode as a TM2, can other transmetal 2s possess vehicle modes like their transmetal 1 counterparts? Or is Cheetor simply a special case?

I've always wondered that myself....

i suppose you can say yes, because in Feral Scream Pt 2, and other eps, he uses his jets as thrust boosters....

but in Nemesis Pt 1 he seems to be flying with BA on his back....hmmmm

Yes, Cheetor is flying in Nemesis part 1.

As for if TM2's can have vehicle modes, I'd say that it is certainly possible. The TM2 Megatron and Tigerhawk toys have a third mode which 'could' be considered a vehicle mode.
Another thing to consider is that TM2's essentially seem to be "knock-off" Transmetals, if you know what I mean (made through a not necessarily perfect process). It is possible that this imperfected method may cause some TM2 bots to lose a third vehicle mode.

thanks Biffy Primal, that does make sense (since TM2 technology was Megatron's attempt to recreate the transwarp wave effect that made him and some others into transmetals). TM2's who lack vehicle modes seem to make up for it though by possessing superior combat strength in beast or robot mode. TM2 Dinobot was able to defeat Depthcharge in beast mode alone using his razor sharp claws and teeth (he also appeared to possess tiny guns of some sort on his hands, but can't recall him using them). TM2 Megatron could fight on par with Optimal Optimus while in his very combat ready dragon mode, breathing fire and ice as well as possessing loads of brute strength to go along with his teeth, claws, and the three part pincer at the end of his tail (wish we'd seen him in his third mode like in the toys). As for Tigerhawk, he had machine guns attached to his wings which he could use in battle (no idea what his third form could be...a jet maybe?). and of course, Cheetor could still fly in beast mode and travel over land at insane speeds. TM2 Blackarachnia didn't fight much in beastmode, but had killer looking claws that I imagine could do some SERIOUS damage (plus she appeared to be telekinetic once).
Can you imagine what could have happened if Megatron had succeeded in perfecting his transmetal 2 technology? The Beast Wars and possibly the universe would have been his (or at least he would have made life EXTREMELY difficult for Optimus and company by transmetalizing all his troops). It still annoys me that to this day we don't know where Megs found the Transmetal driver (we can only assume he picked it up at an alien site, or made one based on design plans he picked up). I also wish I knew what became of the Transmetal driver after BA used it to upgrade herself (did they take it back to cybertron with them? Or did it become part of BA's body?)

but near the end they gave him 'bonus' flight conversion jus move the fins around

think this was in response to RiD toy line skybite gave him flight so why not cybershark

I always just assumed he got it off-screen while he was in control of the metal hunter. And that the Maximals destroyed the Transmetal driver.
