Toys, Tales, and Tech Specs

I've been thinking about this recently. While not everyone may have thoroughly played with BW/TF toys, I'm sure a good number of us have. I got into BW roughly in the pinnacle of my childhood imagination, so I played with my BW toys like there was no tomorrow. But I never really adopted any bio or personality traits from the tech spec cards onto my toys.

So...my question is...when playing with BW/TF toys, do/did you use the personalities/abilities on the tech spec cards for your characters or did you just make up whatever you thought fit?

Whatever seemed cool.

See me, I used Ramulus as the just about the greatest maximal warrior in existence, and in the tech specs, he's just a scout.

Ramulus is like the Transformers version of Wolverine, to me. I tend to generally make up my own personalities unless they're well-established show characters.

I usually follow the personalities on the tech specs unless they seem way off to me. I've always thought of Ramulus as kind of a loner who wasn't very social and went off on his own a lot.

I actually have seen that, Beastly! I've also seen a different colored Jawbreaker (my avatar) and I think another one I can't remember.

For anyone who wants to see it:

I usually go by what it says on the box but sometimes I give the my own personalities. Like my Windrazor, Movie Dreadwing, and Robot Heroes Grimlock.
i gave Windy a personality where he gets annoyed real easily and has a lot of bad luck.
Dreadwing is a pranster like his box says but he is buddys with Windrazor though he annoys the crap out of him
and grimlock.... XD hehehehee he hates Pichu!

Movie Jazz and Energon Arcee are dating as well. :D

That's not Jawbreaker, that's Frostbite, the repainted version of Jawbreaker for the now-defunct Universe repaint line. Came out in... '04 or '05, I think.

Oh ok, thanks for that, I wasn't sure what the white one was from.

I was looking at some of the tech specs today and a lot are way off. TM Rhinox has 6 intelligence and 5 rank and has 7 firepower yet the only weapon he comes with is his horn.
