Thoughts on Airrazor

One thing I've noticed about AR is that she's one of the most polarizing figures in Beast Wars fandom. It seems that people either like her or they don't. Those who like her consider her the greatest female Transformer or all time who never got the dues she deserved. Those who dislike her consider her to be an uninspired bore who badly needed the boot. There never seems to be any moderate/in-between opinions on her character. And heck, if you look up my post about her on the old BWINT board, I do have reason to believe that the writers of the show hate her as well.
Personally, I consider her to be a pretty decent background character with some decent lines. While she's not my favorite character, I would not have had her beaten up so much either as the writers were often fond of doing. While I do think she deserved a lot better on the show, I'm not entirely broken-hearted with her passing as I am with say... Depth Charge or Tarantulas. For what it's worth, I think she's had some pretty memorable scenes despite having so little development such as blasting Terrorsaur to bits and punching Blackarachnia's lights out

. I don't consider her the greatest but I still cherish her as much as I do the rest of the Season 1 cast.
But anyways, what are your personal thoughts on Airrazor's character? Like her passionately? Hate her vehemately? Or do you linger somewhere in the middle?

I like Airazor a lot, but not to the extent of considering her to be the "greatest female Transformer". She was one of those bots who didn't get the developing they deserved, true. But perhaps even if she did she may not have had the same impact on me that other characters had. That doesn't mean she wouldn't have been a likeable character, just one on a lesser degree than other bots who get the limelight more.
Somewhere in the middle.

Considering the lack of female bots it's a pity they couldn't develop the character of the one female Maximal properly.

Airrazor is one of my favorite characters, I think the greatest female in the series.

I'm an in-between person. I don't hate her but I don't consider her 'the greatest female Transformer'. (( Naaaah... That title belongs to Chromia! =P ))
She was cool in a way... but she lacked that development she and some other bots needed. (( She reminds me of the females in G1 like that. )) So... she seemed kindah'... there to me.

That's a place where it shows that the creators didn't like Tigatron or Airrazor. They never really developed Airrazor and when they where "killed off" Tigerhawk was never really suppose to enter the series.

I never disliked her but at one point i felt largely indifferent about her. But these days i rather like her. I've always liked the family like bond she had with Rhinox and Cheetor. Her relationship with Tigatron was nicely done but could have been more appearant before Other Visits. Just a nitpick.

She didn't recieve much character focus or development wich is sad. Just imagine how she could have been better fleshed out and developed.

I think if they would have had a whole episode on her and Tigatron's relationship they would have developed them both more.

They had more than one chance to do that with The Trigger two-parter and Spider's Game. Even then, they flopped with her character. For some reason beyond me, they just don't seem to like her.

My theory is that she's based on the ex-girlfriend of one of the writers and they do everything they can do to maliciously injure and maim her to take out their frustrations on an old flame.

Hmmm... I'm one of the in-betweeners
For female characters BA was always my favorite for some reason.
I guess AR Was a bit plain Jane for me. But I think she SERIOUSLY needed to be seen and heard more, maybe it's just because I liked it when the girls were included in what was happening... but I kinda liked her character but there wasn't a whole lot there...

I love Airrazor. And I hate the writers for disliking her and killing her off. That's all there is to it. Nuff said.
