Invader Zim

Unread post by SilverfromOZ »

Because I fear drifting far off topic with Meg's welcome thread I'm continuing the banter here regarding a certain short galactic conqueror.

I'll start off by saying how cute is G.I.R.? :D That is a crazy miswired robot that I want to have running about the house.
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

Just listen to your commander, bonebrain!

 Nice, Silver. G.I.R. is pretty cute but he's so dumb! And he scares me with those pigs he brings home and that dirty squeaky moose.

Now, Zim is awesome. He's not as dumb as his little robot but he can't conquer anything and he has a tendacy to blow up his own home planet. And the Tallest don't even like him. But he's cute too with his big red eyes. ^.^

And I loved Richard Horvitz ever since the Angry Beavers.

A quote from the two dumb aliens who thought Zim was an actual Earthling and G.I.R was an actual dog:

"When was the last time you cleaned yourself?"
"Define self!"

 Morons...
"Well, that's just prime!"

 Yeah. But even though he's dumb he'd just look up at you with his lost baby eyes and you'd melt. :D

I think my favourite moment was when Zim had to work at the fast food restaurant and G.I.R. was left back on earth.

#G.I.R. switches to evil mode# I MUST SAVE MY MASTER!!
#Cue sound of icecream truck in background which snaps him back to green eyes# OOOHHH! ICE CREAM!!!

Unfortunately my exposure to the series is quite limited to I'll have to hunt around for a DVD boxed set.

Side note: Well lucky you getting a great big hug from Gary. Very cool indeed. :D
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

I am a Zim -nut-. I worship Gir. Heck, I want to BE Gir when I grow up, and with the amount of intoxicants that have passed through my system, I'm probably well on my way.

Have you ever seen the 'Germs' episode? Or 'Invasion of the Idiot Dog Brain?' Those are 2 of my all-time favs. The xmas special is great too: "Bow down, bow down, before the power of Santa! Or be crushed, be crushed, by his jolly boots of DOOM!"

I have a handful of eps on my laptop soooo if we have a chance maybe we can watch them in England soonish =D *omg only 10 days left until I abandon this forsaken land of iniquities!*

Be warned if you can pull off the cute look you are serious danger of big hugs

Unfortunately I haven't seen any of the three mentioned however the quote conjures up images which I'm sure are spot on. :D

Yes yes yes! Flee! Flee and frolic and be merry! Can't wait. Just a few more tweaks to my schedule (long story to be regaled at a later date) and I'll be ready to jump on a plane Monday after:
a) a farewell party
b) a paintball day after said party (hangover inc. as package deal)
c) LAN which begins sat night and finishes Monday morning
When I arrive I will no doubt say "Hi." and fall flat on my face. :D
I look forward to being further educated in the ways of Zim and G.I.R. and excited about shenanigans to follow.
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

You guys rock.
Yeah. But even though he's dumb he'd just look up at you with his lost baby eyes and you'd melt.
True. XD

I love the Germs episode! And Dark Harvest. *makes pigeon purr noise* XD The Halloweenie episode is cool too. And Hamstergeddon!

*Pee-pee the hamster flies up toward the sky*

Zim: "But stop sniveling, little worm monkey! Pee-pee will be fine. Up there. In the stars."

*Pee-pee is seen exploding in the background upon hitting the ground*

Zim rules all.

"Obey the fist!"

*gasp* The episode with Pusstoolio (sp?) is awesome too. It's sooo nasty at the end! *gags* XD

Zim: "And your lippy... smacky noises... aren't helping."

Planet Jackers is another good one. I hate how Nickelodeon cancelled the show. It should have been on Cartoon Network, if you ask me.
"Bow down, bow down, before the power of Santa! Or be crushed, be crushed, by his jolly boots of DOOM!"
 Awesome, varyn. I agree that was a cool episode.

How about the one where Dib, Zim, Gaz ("Dib's scary sister") and G.I.R. are on Mysterious Mysteries with Dib catching Zim and G.I.R. on video. And for some dumb reason they make a reenactment of Dib's hard evidence!

Reenactment Actor Dib sounding dorky and dumb: "Hey, new kid. Give me your lunch monies."
Reenactment Actor Zim sounding peaceful and calm: "But I need these monies to buy nutriants."
Unfortunately my exposure to the series is quite limited to I'll have to hunt around for a DVD boxed set.
Say butt?! You have to see them all, Silver! XD

Dib: "MY HEAD'S NOT BIG!"

Professor Membrane: "My poor insane son."
Side note: Well lucky you getting a great big hug from Gary. Very cool indeed.
Awe, thanks, Silver. His hugs are special. :D He really liked his painting.

OOP-- oh god, I love all the eps with 'Mysterious Mysteries' in them --Like 'Chickenfoot' XD My mom and I have a long-standing tradition of watching any cheesy 'Mysterious Mysteries' type show that appears on TV late at night, so any parodies of such shows are guarranteed to have me in stitches. Heck, the actual shows themselves usually do, too =P

And yes, Nickeldeon was crazy to cancel Zim. I mean, argh, so many cartoons these days are so insipid, and then they smite the few that aren't! I remember how they used to do things like censor/mutilate the lines in 'Daria', too. Hiss. D:

My bf and I have turned many of the lines from Zim into running jokes between us [we get a lot of weird looks from passerbys, sure, but that could be attributed to any number of things =P]. For instance, the 'Biiiig heeeead' thing is always applied to me because a) I do in fact have a big head and b) I have tons of wacky imaginary worlds in there that my consciousness flits in and out of, giving rise to many conversations like this:

BF: "Blah blah blah spidermonkies ate my face blah blah... Hey, are you even listening to me?"

Varyn: "Zurble? Oh, sorry, I think I got lost in..."

BF: "In your BIIIG HEEEEAD, I know."

Silver-- Oh noes, I actually do the occasional Gir impression and I have huge, clueless eyes. Don't crush me!

And I have no money to party *sadness* Well, not until after I get to England anywho, whereafter I will have saved a small reserve to satiate my hedonism.

I know what you mean about the schedule craziness, too. I just found out 2 weeks before I was due to leave that I would need to find my own room and a job post-haste... EEP. Am doing pretty good with that, though.

Always with the spidermonkies

I fully intend to use the word Zurble in my next conversation. And fear not cute one, my hugs have been tempered over the years to be cuddly without the destructive, clumsy man attributes (believe me that took a lot of doing with the need to override my natural clumsy state :D )

Woo! Party in London! Well there I am kind of gauranteed a nice comfy job when I get back to its gonna be splurge city from here on in. If I am required to support my fellow revellers then so be it. As far as accommodation goes, Sapph was telling me about a cute bnb near hers so hopefully that's still available. Hopefully it has a lady with a pointy stick to poke me awake every morning otherwise I may hibernate right through the gathering...

And not a prob OOP. In time I too will have phsycial contact with voice actors... .... see this is why I shouldn't speak. EVER!

Anyhoo, yes, I need to watch them all. Fortunately whilst I was in Cleveland, I managed to score a few more episodes. When I get money and have the ability to invest in expensive TV perhaps I will. :D
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

If you guys all dig the Zim dude then you should all check out Roman Dirge's other madcap creation, 'Lenore'

Lenore is a little cute dead girl who has little adventures, if you type in a search on youtube you can watch all the fun little episodes. :D

I will warn you all though, the humour is slightly more adult orientated and may not be suitable for little pixie goblins and wee monsters!

What about the pixie monsters? Or perhaps the little wees? :D

I NOW HAVE THE BOXED SET!!! As the lovely Starcee can attest I bought it the final day of Botcon. Btw I'd like to welcome Starcee to the forum. Make her feel as warm and happy as you did for me (but try not to let her run off the rails like I did #looks back at the twisted metal that is Silver's trainwreck career on the forum and shakes his head  #). Hope you like it here and that you gain as much whacky enjoyment as I have.
