Icebreaker looked up from the river noticing smoke in the air, the smell of burnt metal and chemicals blowing down wind as the group got closer. At the moment it was anyone's guess what the situation was.

Starshadow sped up, leaping above large rocks. Than, reached to where Steelclaw and Sonar where.
"The wreck's just a burnt pile of metal. Nothing much but I made some things out of it." she stretched herself.

Valkyrie saw the smoke before Cheetor did, but wasn't completely sure it was the ship they where looking for.
She opened a communication channel to her group members.
"Cheetor and I found some smoke a few clicks away from this position. Could this be the location of that ship?" She sent the coordinates where the smoke came from along with the communication.

She checked her chronometer and decided it might be better to speed up a bit, and opened another com channel to the other group members.
"Lets pick up some more speed maximals. I have a feeling that smoke isn't there by itself."

Well that was a command Cheetor could live with. First he was told to run, and now he being told to run faster.

Cool.

He immediately picked up his pace, almost going as fast as he possibly could. Almost.

Glowstick continued to float higher, seeming not to be noticed by the group. Heading into a cloud cover, he placed a tentacle on the headphones on his head adjusting a dial he then heard from his communication system "clicks away from this position. Could this be the location of that ship?""Lets pick up some more speed maximals. I have a feeling that smoke isn't there by itself."

The Squid activated his communication system, on Predacon frequencies Steelclaw,this is Glowstick. You were right about the Maximals. From their radio communication it sounds like they're heading for the crash site. So far I've spotted Cheetor and I assume the Maximal second in command Valkyire, there is a river near by so that whale or icebird might be with them. I haven't been spotted yet so I think I'll just use this cloud cover to sneak off.. though it's not a bad sniping point...

Icebreaker listened to the communication, then looked towards the side of the river noticing a beach Looks like this is our stop Orcariner. Icebreaker Maximize! he shouted transforming to robot mode in the water, he then grabbed the line to the ice sled Orcariner seemed to still be riding on, then climbed onto his shield as the engine on it started up.

The penguin riding from the river onto the shore towing the whale rather quickly across the plains.

Icebreaker leaned in a low stance as he had both arms behind him holding on the line, his infrared visor sliding down over his optics as he started to scan the area for any survivors ahead of them.

It wasn't like Sonar hadn't already heard on the radio communications that Glowstick and Starshadow were going through the ruins of his ship, but this last statement reaffirmed the un-hidden nature of their mission. Steelclaw wondered how the bat felt about all of this.

Steelclaw was glad Glowstick had gone by unnoticed, and hoped he could get as far away from the site as fast as possible. Then he though about the last comment. A good sniping point?

"Yeah, it probably is, but we've gotten the passenger and you and Starshadow have said there isn't anything left to be found in the wreck, so engaging the Maximals seems unnecessarily risky." he replied.

Glowstick placed a tentacle on the side of his head as he responded Yeah, I know. Not exactly worth the effort unless it's a clean shot on Optimus. he then moved the tentacle, the com mic turned off as he watches the group On the other hand.. one flier and three well out of range maximals.. is rather tempting to cause a bit of trouble for.Specially considering one is a commander of that outfit.. he then said to himself.

His tentacles straighten out stiffly while shifting weight, his right arm pointed down as he lowered from the cloud cover a bit, his left arm wrapping around the right forming a long tentacle like barrel as he prepared a charge. His optical sensors zooming in on Valkyire while the photophore lens opened much like the image of a eyeball as it focused on her, the iris narrowing tightly.

Glowstick then fired, a narrow teal beam shot down from the clouds directed at Valkyire's right wing. Glowstick angrly said to himself Slag, I missed the core! , the left arm photophore preparing a second shot.

"Cool," he replied on his com link, "So that means you're coming back now, right?"

Steelclaw had had enough of 'bots being right behind him when he didn't even know it, so he figured just in case Glowstick was just keeping the conversation on the com link going to sneak up on him and say some smart line, he'd turn around and check if he could see him.

Nope, no Glowstick. The Predacons seemed content to be there when Steelclaw wasn't aware, and be gone when he was suspicious. Hmm... he'd have to figure than one out.

He was just about to turn around when he thought he saw a color coming from the sky that was... sort of blue. He zoomed in with his optical sensors and saw it was a beam.

Glowstick. No, no, no! Why would he do something like that? O.k., so the answers to that question were bountiful and varied, but still, he couldn't fight a Maximal group on his own, and it was likely that he wasn't going to be able, or perhaps even willing, to disengage.

"Uh... there's the ship Sonar, have a good time!" Steelclaw shouted as he turned himself to the direction he had been looking, and ran as fast as his legs could carry him.

Orcariner's optics caught sight of a sparkle to his side and he looked up to see where it came from. Whatever it was, it was gone but the killer whale noticed Valkyrie's body react in pain.

"Precadon ambush!" he roared.

Fully recovered from the energon overload, he maximized into robot form while dismounting the decelerating sled. Turning to his curious comrade, he quickly spoke while reaching for his carbine.

"Icebreaker, I'm going to go catch Valkyrie. Try and see if you can find the shooter!"

Starshadow was confused and went to the crash site. After she reached her destination, she went to the cliffs not far from the Maximals, transforming to robot mode and held a rock with a size of a cannon ball.

"This shall be a good surprise for the maxies..." she smiled evily and heated up the ball with plasma energy. Once the rock was glowing brightly, she threw it and swung her tail with some spikes dispersed.

"HEY MAXIMUM BUFFOONS!!! IT'S RAINING FIRE!!" she cried out and blast a ball of plasma energy to the heated rock and the spikes, making them dispersed all around in the air with it burning.

Icebreaker slid sideways seeing the beam, he then turned slightly as Orcariner charged by giving the order, then looked up Got it! There's a heat trail.. looks like it's going straight up to the clouds! Eh?! INCOMING! he then shifted kicking his board up as molten rock and metal blades started to come towards the group.

Icebreaker stood as he drew the massive frost launcher weapon from his side as his visor instantly showed the source, then pointed it towards the cliff firing off a micro missile. Chew on that! Cheetor, provide cover fire for Orcariner. I'll keep hotlips here busy! He then shouted, lifting his board as it returned to it's shield configuration. He loaded a grappling hook into his launcher, then fired it off towards the cliff side, the wire reeling in with sparks seen coming from the side of the gun as it pulled Icebreaker into the distance through the air.

Steelclaw, who had easily been outrun by Starshadow, finally made it near the crash site, but stayed out of plain sight.

After letting out a grunt in frustration, he pulled out his sniper rifle and set it up, before looking down the scope and identifying targets.

"Just wanted to have a normal day," he muttered, "wake up late, meet a crazy bat, defend ship blown up by same crazy bat just to keep evidence away from nosy Maximals."

He saw that the immediate threat would be whoever could make the Predacons lose their range advantage, and since Icebreaker was fast approaching the cliff with a grappling hook, the threat was him. He placed the target on the scope right over the grappling line. It was hardly even shifting- only pulling the penguin closer. After analyzing this, Steelclaw fired.

"Glowstick," he asked on his radio, "what's our mission objective here?"

"My pleasure!" Cheetor shouted. Icebreaker seemed to have the panther occupied, so he was going to fire at whoever was firing the laser.

He took aim in the direction the laser had come from, and opened fire. He could vaguely see Glowstick, but he didn't have time to zoom in and make sure.

Starshadow smirked as she saw Icebreaker coming. "Hey sweetheart!! Let's tango." she winked and cracked her whip and unsheathed her sharp nails, walking to where the penguin was coming.

Gunfire boomed all around him and Orcariner tried his best to swivel his large frame around to evade Starshadow's hail of plasma fire. Everything was shooting itself above him, so the Maximal assumed there must have been fliers involved.

"Primus, help me," he grunted, "Why's it always have to be blasted fliers."

A plasma projectile struck him in the chest, but his heavy armor and unyielding endurance allowed the giant to keep his pace. Valkyrie looked like she was still conscience and was even slowing down her falling speed with expert like handling. At least she was giving him enough time to catch her before she broke anything.

"Valkyrie!" he yelled, approaching her landing zone, "Over here!"

He turned and deflected another stray projectile with his blade.

Blasted fliers.
