Do you guys think that they will show Unicron?
If they do try, it's going to be hard but it might just be worth it.
That would be awesome! My mom and I think it would be a good idea for a space battle. Autobots and Decepticons vs. the humogous planet eater!
I even thought of an interesting concept for this type of plot. If they go with comic continuity again, they could even use Primus(who is Cybertron) to defeat his evil twin brother. As everyone is fighting Unicron keeping him from devouring Earth, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and perhaps even Sam and Mikeala go to Cybertron to awaken Primus from his slumber.
My mind is rolling with ideas. They could even introduce Ultra Magnus, Blurr, Hot Rod, and Springer by having they crash land on Earth in a ship and they could be the ones who tell them of Unicron's arrival.
It's very interesting but I know this will probably be expensive and complicated. They probably won't try it but dang! It would be awesome.

Well...he didn't have Optimus Prime helping him out

Seriously though, the movie could always ignored that. Plus, at the end of the battle, Primus could regenerate Cybertron.
With their home back at its natural beauty, it would be the perfect climax to the trilogy(that's if Bay doesn't decide thatt he wants to continue).
Well, it's an idea.

If they do do Unicron, I doubt he'll be planet-sized. City-sized, state-sized even, but the amount of problems visually dealing with a character of that scale.. not to mention the ridiculous amount of CGI that would have to be involved...
Or they could make him a sort of presence who can possess other TFs. I could see that doing reasonable justice to the character without making him this ludicrously huge TF.

Though at least it probably sounds better than the Beast Machines ending. Cybertron is fully technological and Optimus lives.
Yeah or they pull a Fantastic Four(instead of showing Galactus, they show a cloud)Beastbot wrote:If they do do Unicron, I doubt he'll be planet-sized. Unicron would be too huge for them to do but it would have been cool to see. I just remember what problems they had when they built Devesator.

Or they could go in the opposite direction and make Unicron incredibly small. Think Basketball size... now imagine a dark god the size of a basketball ripping apart planets devouring entire solar systems and kicking your (and therefore vicariously, our) collective butts.
Unicron the small but infinitely destructive. Oh yes... I'm loving that idea already.

You know, Razor, that's actually a pretty scary possibility. Now add into that the fact that Sam will smart-mouth anyone, and once you have the big reveal of Unicron with the sun behind him in the sky ... only for it to be a basketball, well ... remember what he did to Frenzy's head in TF1. Cue global destruction because dipwad decided to kick a dark god.
And then cue Bumblebee facepalming and Prime's jaw hitting the floor while the other Autobots are twitching and the Decepticons ... I don't know what they'd be doing, actually.
In any case.
I have to agree with a lot of the points made. I want more TFs showing (I don't care about transformation sequences, just show me pretty shiny cars, and pretty shiny robots, who cares how they get from Point A to Point B), I definitely love Optimus Prime being the big kahuna and pwning everything in his path (ala G1), but I have to also say that I enjoyed the movies so far. I'm not a fangirl of them, and I'd love some character development, but movies to me are for pure mindless fun after a long day of schooling. At least, for the last two years, that's what it's been. I want to sit down and not think for two hours. Yes, there are movies (and shows) where I watch them just for the characters or plot (V for Vendetta, Pride and Prejudice, The Last Samurai, Batman Begins, Firefly/Serenity), but there are are also movies and shows that I will watch just for the sake of pure mindless fun. And Baysplosions.
Sometimes a good movie is a good movie because it entertains without the purpose of making you have to follow a complicated plot. (Pirates of the Caribbean doesn't apply to this rule.)
In short: I'm looking forward to the third movie. And I hope that it doesn't overshadow Botcon 2011.

I wonder if it's possible that Vector Sigma might somehow come into play in the next film. I mean, they have already had the Allspark, and then the Matrix. If they want to have something that both the Autobots and Decepticons want to get their hands on, I think the only thing left is Vector Sigma.
Anyway, about Unicron... somehow I have my doubts we'll actually see him.
I'm not sure what the theme/plot/story will be in the next movie, but I hope it'll be something good. I think pretty much the main things they will need are a central point for the villian/s and hero/es to interact, (such as Optimus vs. Megatron in the first movie, and then Optimus vs. the Fallen in ROTF) and they also need something that both sides need/want.
Like I said, in the 2007 movie, both sides wanted the glasses so that they could find out where the Allspark was--of course not knowing that the Allspark/Cube had been moved by humans. In the second movie, the Fallen wanted Sam to find out where the Matrix was. Of course they wanted the Allspark shards too, but that's more of a subplot to the bigger picture.
In the next movie... I think they need something big to be after there as well. I just think the plot needs to have something a bit more to it besides Autobots vs. Decepticons in trying to attack the Earth and protect it. Like I said I kinda doubt that Unicron will show up, especially since they have mentioned the complications of the scale and whatnot. But whatever happens... it's gotta be something that will make the plot exciting.
My guess will be Vector Sigma, somehow or other.
And I wanna see the Dinobots show up! XD

I have an idea! Quientessons! They can find out that the Q-5's (what I call the Quinties because it's easier to type) are trying to get cybertron back or something... Or they're gonna invade the earth because... the transformers ate their donuts... Oh I don't know...
But imagine if they did use the Q-5's or even the VOK that would be awesome!

i don't know if this is true but check this out i found this on Wikipedia.
Peter Cullen voices Optimus Prime, the Autobot leader. He retains his alternate mode of a blue Peterbilt truck with red flame decals.
Judd Nelson is possible to reprise Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime; an Autobot warrior who is possible to transform into a Chevrolet Corvette and then a Chevrolet Avalanche with yellow flame decals. He will serve as Lisa Stuart's car and guardian and will help Optimus and the others restore order to the Dynasty of Primes.
Lisa Ortiz will voice Chromia; a blue female autobot motorcycle who survived in the last film. Ortiz was rumored throughout many sites to voice the character but was unable to due to the early premire of Pokemon season 12. Luckily, Grey DeLisle didn't really voice the character so Ortiz will be able to take the role of Chromia as long as Bay agrees to hire her.
Kevin Conroy will voice Ultra Magnus; an Autobot mobile missile launcher who serves as second-in-command of the Autobots.
Mark Ryan voices Bumblebee, the Autobot who befriended Sam and disguises himself as his fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
Jess Harnell voices Ironhide, the Autobots Weapon Specialist who turns into a GMC Topkick.
Robert Foxworth voices Ratchet, the Autobot Medic who turns into a search and rescue Hummer H2.
Tom Kenny and Reno Wilson voice Skids and Mudflap, also known as the twins. These Autobot Infiltrators transform respectively into a green Chevrolet Beat and red Chevrolet Trax.
André Sogliuzzo voices Sideswipe, a silver Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept who fights alongside Ironhide and Optimus.[2] His arms sport sword-like blades, and having wheels for feet, he moves around skating, similarly to the way Bonecrusher did in the 2007 film.
Tom Kenny also voices Wheelie, a blue radio-controlled toy monster truck.
Jason Griffith will voice Jolt, a blue Chevrolet Volt armed with a pair of electric whips, befitting his electric car alternate mode
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is rumored to voice Wheeljack; an Autobot Gears Specialists who came to Earth with Ultra Magnus to assist Optimus and his team.
Josh Keaton is rumored to voice Prowl; an Autobot Dodge Durango Police SUV. His appearence in the first two films has been delayed but the character is expected to appear in the third installment.
George Newbern will voice Springer, a Triple Changer that can transform into a car and a helicopter.
A group of Seekers that take on the form of several dinosaurs they see in the American Museum of Natural History, the Dinobots. These five take over Skids and Mudflap's role as comic relief. Like Jetfire and Wheelie, these 5 originally served the Decepticons, but chose to side with the Autobots, joining Sam, Hot Rod and the others on their quest.
David Kaye might reprise his role as Grimlock, the Dinobot leader, transforms into a mechanical Tyrannosaurus-Rex
Slag, transforms into a mechanical Triceratops
Sludge, transforms into a mechanical Apatosaurus
Snarl, transforms into a mechanical Stegosaurus
Swoop, transforms into a mechanical Pteranodon
Kevin Michael Richardson also voices Omega Supreme, one of the original Guardians of Cybertron who protected the planet against evil such as Unicron, transforms into a giant spaceship, big enough for all the Autobots and their human allies.
Decepticons
Hugo Weaving voices Megatron/Galvatron, the new official Decepticon leader who fled with Starscream in the last film refusing to surrender to the Autobots over the death of his master The Fallen.
Mark Hamill will voice Starscream,[3 the air commander who transforms into an F-22 Raptor.
Frank Welker voices Soundwave, Megatron/Galvatron's loyal Communications Specialist, who transforms into a satellite and space cruiser.
Laserbeak, a minion of Soundwave that resembles a large condor.
Jess Harnell will also voice Barricade, a Decepticon police vehicle who disappeared from the first film. He and Prowl seem to be arch-rivals.
Ron Perlman and James Arnold Taylor will voice Cyclonus and Scourge, Megatron/Galvatron's best and most loyal commandos that transforms into Cybertronian jet fighters.
Triple Changers are also in the Decepticon roster.
Corey Burton will voice Shockwave; Megatron's most loyal second-in-command.
Bumper Robinson voices Blitzwing, a second triple changer who can transform into a X-25 jet and an assault tank.
Others
Leonard Nimoy will voice Unicron; a large and enormous robot with a planet mode the size of an asteroid.
