I just got a chance to talk with LadyJet and she's got some bad news; she won't be able to make it to BotCon, due to financial restraints (ain't that always the case?). So she won't need to be added to your mailing list, Sapph (which we momentarily touched upon in last week's AIM Chat).

Which really sucks... I was hoping she could go....

*smacks head*

Slaggit, I completely forgot about that AIM chat... I'm so sorry, guys... Well, pretty much all that's happening is that I'll be getting there early to mid-evening Thursday, and me and my dad will be staying at the "official" hotel. If you have any specific place you guys are meeting at the beginning, let me know, otherwise I'm sure I'll run into you there soon enough.

Brian Savage has finally returned to the TF Collectors' Club Forums (after finishing off work on the GI Joe Convention, and getting back over to BotCon stuff), and fired off a number of replies to various questions and topics pertaining to this upcoming BotCon.

* For those of of who've pre-registered, there is no charge for the Autographs (some conventions, including sci-fi ones, actually do charge for autographs, believe it or not) nor a limit to how many times you can go through the Autograph Line. However, you can bring a limit of 2 items to sign per visit. For non-registered walk-ins, it's a $5 charge with a 2-item limit.

* This is a major tease, but someone asked if there were more guests planned for BotCon, besides the ones already scheduled. All Brian said was, "You never know..."

* Prices have not been set for the non-box-set exclusive items to be sold at the convention, though they may be similar price points to last year's.

* The scheduling times for the Battle Of The Boards, though not finalized yet, will depend in the number of groups who sign up. Off-hand, some groups will go on Friday, others on Saturday, with the finals probably on Sunday morning.

* Cut-off dates for pre-registering: September 1 if you're paying by check, and September 15 if paying by credit card.

* Official Confirmation materials will be mailed out in August. (Man, I hope their mailing services aren't slow getting to Canada, or the rest of the planet....)

* The Saturday Night Dinner this year looks to be a buffet! :D

Excellent! That's only a few minutes away from Campus...I could walk there from my dorm room!

For the time being count me in--the only thing that might stop me now is if my pocket change runs low.
