He does some weird flashy thing with Lio Convoy to become Burning Convoy. It's essentially a pink gorilla riding a golden lion to destroy an aircraft carrier. Yeah, I do think it's as stupid as it sounds.

You get 1 point for answering the Bonus Question - Optimus Primal's "upgraded" form was indeed called "Burning Convoy." However I'm gonna need something a bit more specific than "weird flashy thing"

But it looks cooler than the way you describe it. After all, I could describe the climax of Transformers The Movie as Hot Rod uses a blue light-bulb to destroy a planet-eating-planet robot... thing.
Or the most embarrassing simplified description of all: Boba Fett was beaten by a blind man with a stick... har!!

The answer to my main question was that Optimus Primal and Lio Convoy combined the powers of their Energon Matrices.

Btw, would anyone object if we allowed this thread to be about anything relevant to Transformers and not just Beast Wars?
