To say the results of the Semi-Finals of the G1&G2 International Conference Tournament were predictable would be unnecessary. As expected, one match was close; the other was not. In one week’s time, the winners of these two matches will square off to determine the Champion of this Conference of the TF Combat Tournament… so let’s find out who they are!
Match 13: Deathsaurus (Japan) vs. Dai Atlas (Japan)
“Man, this one pretty much comes down to a coin toss. A great fight,” wrote BaronFel, triple-citizen of The Underground Hangar, Beast Wars International, and the TF Collectors’ Club Forums. Many had agreed, giving the closer vote result of the two Semi-Final matches. Early in this crucial round, many voters gave Dai Atlas an early lead, which Deathsaurus had tried to tie up in the late stretch, and he almost did… but didn’t quite make it in time. The Cybertron Supreme Commander from Zone took a 57% win over Deathsaurus in his closest victory thus far… the question is, how well will he fare against his final opponent?
WINNER: Dai Atlas
Match 14: Metalhawk (Japan) vs. Black Zarak (Japan)
Additional reinforcements in the form of a Pretender shell were still not enough to present the slightest amount of offense against the Destron Black Scorpion, who scored his third consecutive 100% victory and racked up – thus far – the only perfect vote record of any character in any of the TF Combat Tournament’s Conferences! “Metalhawk may have the advantage of numbers, but I don't think that matters. I predict Black Zarak at the end of this one,” wrote 138 Scourge of the BWTF Forums. Black Zarak’s flawless victories carry him into the Finals with unprecedented momentum, but can he keep it up when he faces Dai Atlas for the Championship?

The Tournament continues on with the G1 & G2 Int’l Tag Team Tournament beginning its Semi-Final matches this week… and when the results of the Tag Team Semi-Finals are announced next week on late Saturday night, August 19, watch out for a new thread that same Saturday morning to begin the voting for the Championship Final Match of the G1 & G2 Int’l Singles Tournament. And as always, even if you’ve never played in the TF Combat Tournaments before, you can still join in anytime you wish!
