It's nice to know that the guy's looking out for us, but here's the thing: the first movie didn't really have much "heart" to it. I just liked it because it was funny (and had cool action). The first two episodes of Beast Wars had more character development than both of those Michael Bay movies put together. If the writers came up with jokes that were actually funny, then I'd consider this 3rd installment a success.

That's because BW solely had the TFs and no one else. Because these are live action movies, they
necessarily have to have the human characters as the main focus with the TFs as the supporting cast because the TFs are just too darn expensive to keep on screen for long. And of course they have to be blowing up stuff a fair amount of that time, too. Oh, and let's not forget that BW, because of its TV series nature, has more time to sell fewer toys and so can afford to spend time on characterization. The movies don't have that luxury.
...And am I really the only one here who really liked both movies? Hrmm. I mean, really, if you're expecting deep characterization, you're looking in the wrong place, and I would've said this before TF1. They're toy movies. I wanted awe-inducing CGI robot butt-kicking, and I got it in spades, particularly in ROTF. There's other TF fiction out now that has more than enough characterization to go around and great dialogue, such as "The Last Stand of the Wreckers" comic mini-series, which is among the greatest TF stories I've ever read/watched.

I actually liked the second tf live action movie better than the first one.. The first one I wasn't too keen on at all. The second one had some funny bits that kept it afloat. Nevertheless though, the live action movies are not the 'transformers' we all know and love.

I've enjoyed both live action movies. I actually found some of the humor in the second movie a bit offsetting, but all the same, the movies are a lot of fun.

Don't know if anyone has seen this but:

I know I had a massive grin on my face when I read this info. Now the big question is are we going to get his Firefly or Dollhouse persona?... Or perhaps Steeeeeve the Pirate. Ya har!

... Excuse me as I start to drool and twitch at someone's insane amount of talent. Have you seen Tudyk in Death At A Funeral? (I'm talking the original, British, insanely hilarious version). He was hilarious! The guy knows comedy, but he also knows how to act serious. (I, Robot ... brilliant work!)
Yeah. I'm starting to actually have some hope for the third movie after seeing that. I hope that he doesn't have some bit part, though.

Well, it appears Megan is leaving/has left:

Thoughts? opinions?
I personally am happy for this, not because of anything particularly against her, but mainly because it won't mean any more "camera spinning around couple whilst they kiss" scenes and hopefully it will finally allow more focus to be placed on the Transformers themselves. I'm sort of theorising that they may explain that she was killed as a result of the Autobot/Decepticon war and if thats the case, it'll be interesting to see how they make Sam react to that. It would be cool to make him go down the N.E.S.T. soldier path, or perhaps they could do it like Dreamwave and have him bitter and resentful of both Autobots and Decepticons. Will they introduce Daniel in this movie as well? Will they just replace her with another actress (e.g. Terrence Howard in IM2)? Whatever happens it going to be interesting

As I posted on another forum, this still won't fix their main problem.
Fire Michael Bay! Either that or just limit him to directing the special effects.

Fire Michael Bay
Think about the money they'd save that could go to actual plots! XD

I love how I get a text from my ex-boyfriend saying something akin to "DING-DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD! Megan Fox is off of TF. Enjoy." this morning after getting stuck like a pincushion at a doc visit then come here to see everyone else celebrating too.
But we must be careful what we wish for ... because he also teased me that there are actresses who are worse off and could potentially kill the TF movies. Lindsey Lohan was mentioned.
And yes.
Boot Bay.

In my opinion Megan Fox didn't really contribute much to the TF movies other than eye candy for those who find her attractive. But then again my opinion of the TF movies aren't the highest either as is..
