Should there have been more femmes in Transformers?

Where you can post announcements and other cool things. Doesn't have to be BW-related.

artemis-lady-warrior wrote:So I guess Rosie from the Jetsons is pointless as well because she's a robot and shouldn't have a gender.
She was of human construction, and we as humans have a notorious track record of giving everything under the sun genders.

Transformers, on the otherhand, are a planet of robots with no other biological creatures on it.

Gender is a biological construct, and as such, a robot civilization has no bearing on gender.

Didn't we have this Gender discussion already?

I say that there should be more femme in Transformers.

Also for the gender thing: Sparks! Sparks! Remember those things. Every individual Transformer has one and each is different.

A spark is a heart. A heart has no gender. It is an organ that's only function is to keep the robot working.

so who cares if a genderless robot has a female design? that doesn't make it female! It just looks female!

Besides. Humans DID make transformers. They're fictional characters that were thought up by people so HAHAHAHAAAAAAA! They can have genders because they WERE created by human beings!

Cybertron isn't a real planet and transformers aren't real beings. They don't exist except in imaginations.

By that distinction, if you care so little for a show, or have any real value to add here to the site, then why are you here?

Listen, you claim to love the show, so when myself and others attempt to put a realistic spin on something to make sense of it, of which you aren't really a part of in this debate since you've yet to add anything of any weight, who on earth asked you?

You cannot, in all seriousness, come into a logical debate about something that wasn't in any way shape or form 'stressed' or at any form 'angry' or 'flaming'.

Debates are debates, look up the term.

If you don't like them, here's a solution...walk away and don't involve yourself unless you have something worthwhile to say.

--

And onto the idea of 'female looking'... we aren't talking 'looking' by all definition, genderless should be regarded as 'it' or by a name.

Calling 'it' a 'she' and putting 'breasts' on it, is what no longer deems it an it and describes it a 'she'. Since that is what 'she' is being called throughout the series.

Again, it should have stayed an 'it'.

Venom you are not a moderator and so stop acting like you are one.
you don't have to agree with what I say but that doesn't give you a right to act so condensending.

So you're saying only the transformers like megatron and optimus are "it"s because they don't have chests that stick out? That is called pick and choosing.

Besides the question was do you think there should be more fembots in the show. NOT do you think transformers have genders.

and yes I AM adding to the argument. You don't seem to realize that the transformers are not real to begin with. They might be "genderless" but hasbro created the fembots and the mechbots.

Fembots are canon and should not be considered pointless.

If you want to be corrective to people kindly stop being so rude.

Or do this. create a thread on how the transformers are genderless and that fembots stink because that's what it seems like you're saying.

Spark is not just an heart but the soul of a transformer because when the transformer dies, the spark comes out of their bodies and heads towards the afterlife(Matrix or the Pit)

Why do I sense tension arising? I don't know what her problem is.

Venom. Let me ask you something. Do you work for hasbro?

I guess this one of those cases where I think we should agree to disagree. We don't have to accept everything in canon. One the fun things about fan works is adding out twist the canon verse or story, which is okay as long as we keep the canon characters in character.

But me personally I accept that fembots exist, and I wish there were more of them and that they got more development.

What? There is no tension. I'm just saying what I believe or know.

Now, I'm no mod but you two are getting heated here. I suggest we forget before this becames a flame.

Please let's get along here. *puppy eyes*

As anyone else can see, I was perfectly fine before she decided to come in here acting like a five year old yelling in my face.

Adding to an debate does not include talking and acting like an immature brat. Grow up.

I was having a discussion, and no, you didn't add to the discussion Artemis.

Bloody heck I hate using that name with you, you disgrace the wondrous name of Artemis.

Also, since when are only Mods allowed to point things out? Since when are we, as fans, not allowed to be logical and practical? H'm?

my problem has to do with the fact that Miss Venom was telling me to leave the topic like she was the queen of sheba.

Look I don't want to get into fights with her I wish she wouldn't act so snotty toward me.

i know she has different views on fembots but the way she says things makes it seem like she thinks she knows more than everyone else.

Yes we all know transformers are genderless but robots with female looking frames are in the transformers universe and I believe there should be more of them. it couldn't hurt.
I found out something interesting. This one girls female robot fan character became a canon character. I think that that is awesome!

By the way venom I was no yelling or acting like a five year old. I think you're confused.

But I'll repeat myself the topic was DO YOU THINK THERE SHOULD BE MORE FEMBOTS IN TRANSFORMERS?

plain and simple. Get over it.

I did not tell you to leave the discussion.

I told you that if you had a problem with it, then you were not obligated to reply. Especially if you had nothing worthwhile to add.

And in regards to the fan character, I think it's stealing.. 0_o unless the fan got royalties, it's called 'creative theft' of another person's work.

Transformers are Assexual, but can have female and male personality traits

I think there's a good ratio per series (like in GI Joe theres like 2 females on each team isnt there normally?)
