Although not as ghostly as Sapph, I too have been quite spectral this year. However I'll be submitting this post quickly before rushing off to the ever-elusive sleep-thing. This is a brilliant idea, which is probably the shot in the arm we and the site need to rebuild momentum. With a monthly time period, it gives us something to look forward to and means we don't have to try and kick start threads when people are flat out, thus prematurely stagnating them #glances over at the Necronomicon# "Boy? did you raise the dead?" uhhh... no......
Well seeing as though I tend to be someone who constantly talks out his... erm... I mean... tries to give sound advice to people who need it, I'll be willing to put in a monthly rant of something or other and perhaps start up an "Ask Silver" column to dispense whatever madness I have to offer. Considering the actually BW work is covered by everyone else, I'll be glad to make this addition to the crew.
I've taken everyone's ideas on board and I will, in the next weekend or two, get back to all of you by means of a mailing list where we can assign roles and sort our drafts for the first newsletter. I'm thinking we could work towards one for the new year. This way it gives all of us time to develop our ideas properly so that everything is sorted out and ready for a 2008 launch. Anyone else interested in taking part, please feel free to post in this thread.
As for the update, I got snowed under with varsity work again *sigh* so it'll occur hopefully next weekend or the week after, time permitting. Do keep submitting your stuff, though! I'd like to make the next update really count/worth the wait.
I think this is a great idea, and I wouldn't be averse to some fan debate at all. I might be able to whip up a few fics for it, have a couple I never finished that I was going to submit for the last fan fic contest a while back. But regardless of whether or not I particpate I say again that this is a fantastic idea!
Just so you all know I have not forgotten about this project. I'm snowed under with work (as usual) but in a couple of weeks I'll be freeeeee and on my varsity vacation and then I'll definitely get cracking with it. I'll try to send out an email to everyone who has expressed interest, before then. Keep posting your responses, though! I'm interested in what concepts people come up with. The more ideas, the better.
Cool, some more interest! This weekend (if I remember, PLEASE may I remember!!) I will send off the first email. Sorry it's taken so long. As it is I'm running on 4 hours of sleep after staying up nearly all night to write an essay, and I've another due on Monday. Whee, work. But tomorrow I have no classes, so hopefully I'll be able to compose an email for everyone who's expressed interest. Keep the suggestions coming, though! Everything will be considered and officially propsed in the emails I send out. I'd ideally like us all to work on the first issue this December, for a release sometime near the end of January. Hopefully that'll be enough time for everyone.

Talk about spectrical. I've been virtually non-existant and look at all the cool stuff that's popped up! *scribbles note to manifest more often*
Things to do, things to do...well, I /love/ debates (Bwahahahaha! ) so I could at least do that. No toys, but I might be able to do a little comic or pic (God willing if I ever get access to Dad's scanner) and I could even submit some written stuff if I get brave enough to do it. Awesome idea Saph! *thumbs up*
