First off, nice thorough Botcon description. And I had no idea Peter Cullen looked like that. He looks like my chemistry teacher (kindof).
Okay, okay, you're right. Hm. I haven't watched the Lion King for quite a few years now. Perhaps I should pop in the DVD this weekend and watch it, yesss. XD

Beast Wars overrules the Lion King any day for me.
Yeah, I've been watching them again just this week now after a two year absence.

And, ooff. I'm fortunate to be able to say that the lion king is my favorite movie based on the fact that Beast Wars never was a movie. In a strange way, it's almost a good thing for me that beast wars was never made into a movie. Know why?

I'm so indecisive. Did you ever read in my intro thread my thoughts on trying to decide who my favorite character is in beast wars?

That was nothing compared to the indecision I have over which I prefer: Beast Wars or Lion King.

I'm not sure if I'll ever decide which is my favorite. I'd prefer not to think about it, because then I run the risk of liking one of them less, because I'd be like:

Yeah, Beast Wars is cool, but it's just not Lion King material.

or

Yeah, Lion King is cool, but it's just not Beast Wars material.

Do you see what I mean? I'll just love them both and leave it at that.

But anyways, as I mentioned (and now I've gone very off-topic), very nice report.
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

David Kaye is a really nice guy.

Next year, depending on how much money I make over the school year, I'm actually considering actually -going- to Botcon with you all. May be a bit more fun than showing up Saturday and spending the first half of the day just -finding- you all.
Grimclaw: Sniper, scout, tactician

First off, nice thorough Botcon description.
Thank you, Blazemane.
And I had no idea Peter Cullen looked like that. He looks like my chemistry teacher (kindof).
Me either. XD When I first saw a picture of him several years ago with his cowboy hat, I couldn't believe he was the guy who provided the voice for the old Prime. And then meeting him at the BotCon and seeing how... vertically challenged he was, I was shocked! He isn't much taller me and I'm almost 5'2"! But he's so nice and such an Autobot.
I'm so indecisive. Did you ever read in my intro thread my thoughts on trying to decide who my favorite character is in beast wars?
 No problemo, Blazemane. I understand. I was just teasing. ^.^ I love both of them too but I think I have more favorite characters and voices in Beast Wars than the LK. Scar was pretty cool, though, as were the hyenas. XD
But anyways, as I mentioned (and now I've gone very off-topic), very nice report.
Thank you again. :D
but its def tied no.1 (if not THE top) along with Stargate SG-1. ^^
I used to feel the same way, Jagna! Until they aired the series finale of SG-1. I remember saying after it was over, "What kind of series finale was that?! Jack wasn't even in it!" That was the best story the writers could come up with to end the show? My brother, mom, younger sister and I were all very disappointed. Beast Wars definitely had a cooler finale. But I still love SG-1 because Jack, Carter and Teal'c are awesome. ^.^
back to BotCon: iv been watching interviews and panels with David Kaye etc...makes me want to meet him even more! sniff
Awe. I hope you can some day, Jagna. *hug*
David Kaye is a really nice guy.
You are correct, Maeglin! Actually, all of them are really nice. XD Voice actors rock.
May be a bit more fun than showing up Saturday and spending the first half of the day just -finding- you all.
Did I miss you, too, Maeglin?! Sheesh. I'm beginning to think I only found a handful of you guys here. XD

No, I saw you for about five minutes near the Optimus truck, then ran off with Sapphire to watch CNN about the bombings in the UK.

OK hands up who cried when Mufasa died? #looks around with raised hand# COME ON! I KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE! #sigh, drops hand#

Well back to the topic, yeah Pete is such a cowboy. I had managed to find an interview with him earlier in the year so I kind of knew what to expect. Pete, Dave and Stan were all really awesome. I know I got my money's worth from that alone.

Seriously considering going again next year (and who knows maybe I can drag along a posse of equally crazy aussies to join the fray, I know my ranting has made them green with envy  ) but that all depends upon work/life/money/debt/life again/time/and did I mention life? Growing up is such a chore aint it?
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

Just listen to your commander, bonebrain!

Yes dear...

WHAT?! CNN is more important than me?! I shall crush the news network and burn it ashes! ... *shifty eyes* I mean... Nevermind. That's all right, Maeglin. I guess. I don't think I saw you, though. :( Then again, I don't know what you look like.
OK hands up who cried when Mufasa died?
 *raises my hand* I did! It was so sad! I think I cried twice, actually. Once in the theater and then again when I bought it on VHS years ago. I'm such a sap.
Pete, Dave and Stan were all really awesome. I know I got my money's worth from that alone.
I'm really glad to hear that, Silver. :D

Yay! I hope to go again next year as well but you know it won't be as big as this year's was. XD And more crazy Aussies could only add more fun doom time! 8)
but that all depends upon work/life/money/debt/life again/time/and did I mention life?
Ah yes. Such is life.

Dude, Botcon at first sounded boring, but the way you guys describe it makes me want to go. I don't if I'll ever be able to.
OK hands up who cried when Mufasa died?
*sniffle, *sniffle. Bwaaa haaaaaahaaaaaaaaaa!

I'm almost certain I cried. I just can't specifically remember, but there are
half-memories in the back of my head which suggest it happened. I first saw the movie when I was too young too understand much, except for basic plot points like that. I believe I might have even cried watching that in eighth grade. This is what really gets me:

"Help!

Somebody!

Anybody.

Help."

Then those tears on Simba.

That's sad.

And he sags back to Mufasa, and hides under his paw for one last feeling of protection.

Man that whole scene is perfect. From Simba trying to wake Mufasa up by pulling his ears like he did on much happier days to him burying his head in Scar's leg for comfort completely lacking knowledge of what really just passed.
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

Oh /man/ that looked like a whole lotta fun, especially having lunch with David Kaye. If I wasn’t so envious of you I’d be giving you a congratulatory slap on the back via Fedex from Aussieland :D Plus you looked really great in that dress. (Just in case you didn’t get the message before ^^) Maybe I’ll stow away with Silver and his ragtag band of Aussie folk but navigating Sydney is a right royal pain. But I love the tunnels!

The Lion King really was brilliant – the animated one was awesome but I don’t really remember seeing it at the cinemas; I got so scared that I ran out bawling.

I was four. Leave me alone!

And yes, when we got the video my little brother cried and cried and I shed a tear (or two) when Mufasa died. Then I remember whacking my brother on the back of the head for being such a girl.

But no matter how good the original one was, the stage show is a bazillion shades of magnificent *jaw drops to floor* Did anyone else see it?

 Awe. I can't believe a silly Lion King quote would bring out so many fans and their admitting to crying to the big death scene. XD I love you guys. *hug*

I hope you can, Blazeman. At least one. :(

I wish everyone could've been there. >.< I don't know if I could compare it to last year's MechaCon dinner with all of those guests, though. XD On the other hand, it was an honor to have lunch with some of the BW Int crew at BotCon. ^.^

Could you add a little wallaby in that slap shipment too? They're so cute!

 Thank you very much, Lady O. Everyone keeps making me blush! *hides under a blanket* XD

The Broadway-like live Lion King show? No, I haven't seen it! But I really want to. :x You have, Lady O?! Lucky! :x

Silly? Silly?!? Don't make me rant again! But yes, Lion King fans are always cool.
I hope you can, Blazeman. At least one.
Thank you. It'd be cool to actually meet even one of you in person. Heck, I haven't even been on any of the bwint online chats. I've wanted to, but I haven't been able to get anything figured out.

You're welcome. I haven't either save for a few MSN IM "chats," but not the "BW Int On-line Chats." :x I'm a slacker. Heh heh.
