APOPHIS?!!!! SWEET! That means I get to come back at the end of every season regardless of how I previously died until I get splattered against a planet whilst surrounded by Replicators... wait... is that a good thing?

An important thing to remember about 300 is that its not a historically correct document, nor is it an intelligent look into the human psyche. It is pretty much Frank Miller rocking up and going "Hey. I can draw my version of Spartans. And crazy Darth Vader ninja dudes. And monsters. Cool now I'll throw em all together and see what we get." :D

Now I'm off because its my cousin's wedding and... #looks back to see a white rock sitting behind him# uh oh
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

OMGOMGOMG tht was really good! my only complaint is tht the end was too long....i could not tell when it wasgoing to finish. not tht i was impatient, but my dad was picking me up at 11:10...PM! ahem. i told him "it sarts at 8:30, 2h ish long so tobe safe, come get me at 11:10...it got out at 11:20!!! oi.

but tht was REALLY great! (i didnt like Elizabeth in this at all, much less than the last two....her role was over played and over written...)

i could just imagine Silver sitting next to me in his Jack costume going "MY PEANUT" LOL

nice twist at the end with a certain someone and a certain ship there, wasnt it? (for those tht HAVNT seen the movie...suckers), yknow the younger one...

#walks past the puddle pooled on the ground and pokes it with a stick# Jagna?

Jack's dad was Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones fame, which is the actual person Johnny based his whole #wierd gestures and glances# thing on. So it was a tribute that they included him in the movie.

Now I'll leave Jagna to her little fantasy moment. Enjoy

This is and will be a great summer for blockbusters. This would be my ratings of the movies that I have already seen.

The scale is * (bad) to **** (excellent)

Spiderman **1/2 - Great action secuences, nice to see Spidey evolving from the good guy to the bad guy and returning to the good guy, that was well developed. The bad thing was the background story of Sandman (poorly convincent) and the non-sense appearance of Venom. I mean... Venom is Spidey's nemesis! Why did he appeared just a few minutes? OK, let's say he will be again on Spiderman 4, but let me tell you something... I certanily wouldn't try to kill a person if he makes my boss to fire me and if I see him JUST talking with my girlfriend. Perhaps I would give him a punch on the nose, but not kill him.

POTC 3 *** - Very nice movie! It had some interesting proposals, like when we see Jack talking to his other-me's. I liked the fact that every character had a goal to achieve and a reason why to do what they do, like why did Barbossa didn't try to kill Jack again or why did Will turned from one side to the other. It had only some little big details... I mean... "Barbossa! Marry us!" C'moon! The story is a bit complicated due to the high number of names, situations and arguments, but I liked that complication. Teague Sparrow... WOW!!!

300 *** - Just the same as the graphic novel, it was followed exactly how it is originally. One of the strongest parts is Gerard Butler as Leonidas, nice acting! There isn't so much story, the movie focus only on the war and the brave 300 spartans who defeated more than 10,000 persian soldiers, that's all. Even the story of Leonidas turns to be a secondary story. The art, cinematography and production was amazing.

Ghost Rider ** - Very entertaining, but not a great movie. The story of Johnnt Blaze goes a bit fast and it's not as complex as it could have been. The best part of the movie was when the two Ghost Riders go through the desert at with as the "Ghost Raiders in the sky" theme as the background music. Besides it, it's not only but an action movie that needs more action and more story. We don't want to only see Johnny Blaze transforming into the Ghost Rider, we need a story to follow. BTW, what was the villian's goal? Now you see what I mean? :P

Wild Hogs **1/2 - Really hilarious! Unfortunately, I was not in a mood when I went to watch it so I didn't enjoyed as I should have done. Anyway, I think it's very funny. One of the best moments was Woody's plan to recover Dudley's motorcycle and making the Del Fuego's bar to blow up! The 4 main characters were great toghether, they're complete idiots!. Although it had some dumb situations, it was a very entertaining movie.

As for the rest, I haven't watched them yet. I'm interested on watching Shrek 3, TF (of course), The Simpsons movie, Fantastic 4 2 and the other that have-not-been-mentioned-yet: Harry Potter 5! It's coming soon to your closest theaters :P I can mention other interesting new releases for this year: Stardust, Zodiac, Ocean's 13, 28 Weeks Later, Live Free or Die Hard and, in my case, the movies made in my country like JC Chavez, Deficit, El Bufalo de Noche (The Buffalo at Night) and Sultanes del Sur (Kings of South).

Summer 2007, here we go!

I watched Pirates 3 in he weekend, and I was pretty sucked up in the action sequence.
Kinda sad that it ended that way.
And Silver, you looked great in your costume. Jack's lost brother!

Up untill now it's the only movie I saw, and I'm still regretting to have not seen 300 :(
I can't wait for some of the blockbusters (hopefully, they'll premiere efore July).
I'm hope to watch Shrek 3 sometime soon with my nephew and sister.

Sad fact: I just remembered that I won't be able to watch Transformers in any way this summer! :(

Well you do know that all the convicts were sent down here after all mate

Thanks I'm really glad that people enjoy my random silliness... especially considering how often it happens... I suppose the big question will be how many people will speak to me after meeting in person :D

Now why preytell can you not see the glorious tribute to giant fighting robots Fizzy?

Yeah Wild Hogs looked entertaining. Unfortunately time and #blah blahdy bling blang bong# and so forth. SC you sound like a really hard critic. I'm just curious as to what would rate as a 5 star movie in your books. Although personally I have gone through the judgemental teen rubbish period and now enjoy movies for pure entertainment value so I suppose I'm not necessarily a great judge :D

Yeah I've managed to see the Harry Potter films after being sat down by a friend to watch them and I've quite enjoyed them. The last was cool with the darker edge. And of course #talks in an accent that attempt's to be Primus' (the member not the supreme being)# Shrrek wiel be grrit fon rregarrdlus cause thieve done wiel weth te last tue. :D

Note: There's nothing to say that Primus is not scottish and if Cybertron (the series not the planet) is anything to go by, any accent is possible. By cracky me name's Jitfire mate
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

I'm travelling to the Netherlands two whole days before the premiere here on Curacao
And since I know that right there takes like 2 to 3 weeks to show a movie already seen here, I'll have to be soo lucky to see this movie before I leave ( I swear I'm going to dance if it's shown in Holland while I'm there).

I don't know how big the TF fanbase is right here, so pray hope the movie is popular enough to stay a week after return.

So confusing and frustrating

LOL! Well, I've learned to watch movies from other point of view since I've decided to dedicate my life to the movies. I'm studing Communication and hopefully I'll be specializing in Cinematography. That's why I do such analysis when I watch a movie :P

Let me see... They are not 5 but 4 stars :P A ***1/2 or **** movie can be from Ed Wood, Big Fish, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings to Seven Samurai, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Pan's Labrynth and Hero. Even I'd say that POTC 1 & 2 are near the 4.

AHHH. Now it all makes sense. Awesome. Well best of luck with the very shiny career choice. :D

HERO!! Hero rocks. It's my fav big name wire-fu movie. The fact that it was filmed so beautifully and the techniques used in fighting were so graceful. To me that shows control and skill. The crazy flailing arms and limbs approach (utilized in Crouching Tiger) makes everyone look like a hummingbird going into a fit. I still have to watch Pan's (truth be told I have actually seen it, however it was a very cold day in NY and the cinema was very warm and I was very sleepy. Bad combination  ) but for what I saw it was very impressive.

Poor Fizzy. Well I hope the stars align and you get your well deserved filming. However now I'm picturing Optimus Prime sounding like the Sweedish Chef from the Muppets. "Froodom is de righty ove alle sentifuit beeongsy! Megsadoovy!" :D
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

Thanks Silver! I hope your words turn into prophecy

So it's mine! Zhang Yimou is an excellent director, he makes really beautiful movies, and Hero is the best example of them. The visual beauty of the movie is simply... undescriptable. The way each story version is colored with red, green, blue... all depending on how the story is being told... The fights! it's poetry turn into martial arts :P (OK, that sounds freaky  ). One of the best martial arts movie I've ever watched.

What!? You must see Pan's Labrynth! It's a very beutiful story indeed. Well, I'll have to give you the reason... in those conditions I may have also fall asleep ;) but if you have the oportunity, please watch it.

BTW, in the last weeks I went to the cinema and watched two new movies: 28 Weeks Later and Zodiac. Here are the reviews.

28 Weeks Later ***1/2 - I must admit it. The Horror gendre is not one of my favorites, rarely I watch this kind of movies... But since my friends and the critics I read before convinced me I decided to watch that one. It's REALLY amazing! God! I was really stressed at the end of the movie. There are moments in which the story and the movie itself remains calm, but many others in which I was nearly going to stand up from my seat and run away from the zombies (which are not zombies in fact, they're humans infected with an uncontrollable rage virus). And it's not only about "zombies", the story is a complete human drama that takes place in an apocalyptic present. If you liked the the first part (28 Weeks Later), you will certainly enjoy this one.

Zodiac *** - Prepare for a very long picture full of information at every moment. Each minute that passes means new usefull information to find out who's the bad guy. These things are the positive and the negative part of the film at the same time. In part, you'll have too much things to pay attention and I assure you that you will not get bored at any time. On the other hand, since there's too much information you will realize that the movie is very long and maybe you will be in favor eager of knowing who the hell is the murderer. Excellent performances and visual style.
