Rise, Orcariner!

Unread post by Alak »

Ok, I'm pretty sure this will be the final result for my OC's standard appearance. I doubt I'll be making anymore changes until Season 2 begins where I will remodel him into a Transmetal. Orcariner's final design was heavily influenced by the Bayformers and Depth Charge. I choose to hide his arm blades and carbine rifle, so I do apologize if the pose is bland.

Awesome, Alak! I love the style and the way you used the gradients! The bubbles are cool, too. Orcariner's overall design is pretty slick. I love it! :D

It does kinda look like the art from the Metal gear games. Though not as impossible to see.. like Metal gear Portable ops.

Thanks for the comments, they're much appreciated! I chose gradients instead of simply coloring those areas black since I felt the minor detail and "feel" of it would be ruined. Plus, after I was done it looked like light was reflecting off of his armor so that was cool too lol.

Oh, and NaitoKage, if you still feel like sketching Orcariner, that would be an honor both me and my OC :D

That's the impression I was going for. Guess what? I used the Bay version of Optimus Prime as a body proportion reference lol (from the comic books storyline). I thought of him when I was trying to think of a large, strong transformer and it fit the stats Orcariner currently has.

Yes, I see how the body shape is similar to Bay Optimus Prime.
