The Semi-Final round of the Armada-&-Energon Conference Singles Tournament is finally over, and neither match's conclusion was even close. Let's get to the results, shall we?
Match 13: Scorponok (Energon) vs. Bulkhead (Energon)
"Honestly, I never would have guessed that Bulkhead would have made it this far," wrote Figureguy of the TF Collectors' Club forums. Unfortunately for the Autobot veteran, despite all his physical power, weaponry and experience, he simply was no match for the Decepticon/Terrorcon Commander. Scorponok pretty much decided he had no respect for elders, and dominated with a 82% victory to move on to the Championship Finals.
WINNER: Scorponok
Match 14: Optimus Prime (Energon) vs. Megatron (Energon)
These two iconic names have been the focal rivalry that has dominated almost every Transformers series since the franchise began. Usually a match-up deciding the end of a series, the two opposing Leaders must settle for a Semi-Final contest before moving on to the bigger prize. "Aaaah, the most classic of all match-ups," wrote Names Are Unimportant of The Underground hangar, "And every time a Prime (or Primal) fights a Megatron, a Prime wins. It might cost him his own life in the process, but Optimus Prime will win. Megatron has too much concern for his own life. Unlike Prime, he won't sacrifice himself for his cause, and that means that, unlike Prime, he'll be holding something back." And it happened one more time, as Optimus defeated Megatron with 73% of the vote, and now goes on to face Scorponok in the Finals!
WINNER: Optimus Prime
Next week, a new thread will be opened to kick off the Championship Final Match of the Armada-&-Energon Singles Tournament will begin, while the voting for the Armada-&-Energon Tag Team Semi-Final matches are underway right now. And even if you've never played before, you can still join in any time you wish!
