Drain of Lost Past - Act 1

By: Kidcat and MariaSunderland

Prologue

- The Secret Experiment -

Disclaimer: The third story in a series.

Felina (Fiona) was created by MariaSunderland and Gemini was created by myself, Kidcat. We’ve worked and developed these characters a lot over the years so please no stealing or copying ;)  Also, Beast Wars and all of its characters belong to Hasbro.

It’s also to be noted that these fanfics take place in the second season of Beats Wars. I wouldn’t be able to tell you exactly after which episode though, since it doesn’t really follow the second season evens per say (for example, Terrosaur and Scorpinok are still alive) The stories don’t follow the Beast Wars season, we just gave our own spin on how things could have been (Not that we didn’t like where the seasons went ;) )

These stories are also rated PG13… Mostly due to language, so you have been warned!

That being said, enjoy ^_^

The chip would soon be fully recharged. It was such a waste of time. How many precious cycles and mega-cycles was he loosing each time he needed to be connected? A smart move it had been to force the input of this small relic in his head, for it meant more time for his enemies to regroup, and less time for him to proceed with his dark agenda. He could not help but admire the move... it had been years now....

The room remained in complete darkness, only disturbed by the multiple lights that proved the machine to be on-line. He would rarely open his optics, dreaming of future and past days. Every time it never failed. The scene of Fiona Frangiatti, robot huntress,  had trapped him during a conference with his fellow comrades from Sigma Corp., a respectable company designed for the building and development of certain weapons, exclusively defensive, but mostly for scientific researches. It would always come back to haunt him. Sigma Corp. was known to be responsible for keeping peace after Earth’s World War 3, in 2024.

However, there had been rumors; evil ones. Rumors such as secret experiments made by Sigma Corp. and kept from civilians, transformers and humans: this being since the destruction of Omacron, where one of the company’s biggest laboratories had been on-line. A certain virus had been unleashed upon the colony, infecting robots and biological beings. But than again, who would believe killers like the Robot Huntresses? And who would believe two crazy cops in state of shock saying they saw creatures of darkness crawling around, robots turning into humans, flesh growing upon their metallic skin, humans also turning into mindless creatures, rotting, and all these things, they said, were hungry: hungry for blood, flesh, mech-fluid, anything fresh and alive. Sigma Corp. had been able to counter the accusations eventually, easily even, but they had preferred to remain in the shadows for awhile to bring down the population’s tension. And it was working, so far, for they were coming back slowly.

(Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!!)

Like an alarm in the early morning, the machine shouted the end of dreams. He stared at it for a few seconds, and finally pulled on the wires to disconnect himself. The machine stopped complaining as soon as he was unplugged. He went through his memories quickly searching for anything which could be a missed: for a blank. He would not know any longer what the blank spot would have been about, but he would know something was not there anymore... and that would mean Fiona had won over him.
It had not happened yet.

The door to the dark room slid open as soon as he was at a certain distance from it, opening like magic. Stepping out, he looked around as if he was lost, although he was not one bit. It looked like an old hospital with gray walls, rusted at some points, but it was really a lab. A hidden Sigma Corp. lab with secret experiments kept from civilians. The tall robot took a few steps forward and stood a few feet away from a large window to his left and gazed at the woman in a giant transparent tube, floating in bluish liquid. He had missed her beautiful human body for a long time now, but it would be much longer now. It had taken years; he could wait a few more days.

He continued his way, and hesitated as he saw two forms ahead, sleeping. One was a large green robot, a Maximal the size of three, and the other a slender young woman with her head resting on the robot’s huge arm. They had been sitting outside the room for more than a day, swearing they would watch over their friend throughout the operation. It seemed they had failed.

He stepped closer to them, inspecting the girl’s new body parts, nodding to himself for it did not look so bad. He wondered how they would react if they would wake up and see him standing there... he guessed they might try to kill him. But they had no idea he was in the same lab as them. How ironic. Then he glanced through the window above them and was struck by the most beautiful view.

He grinned and made his way to the door, which, like the one from the dark room, slid to the left as the robot was close enough. He walked in the bright place that held no one but machines. Oh no, wait, there WAS someone. Lying under a dome of glass, like Snow White, was Fiona Frangiatti, lying in the middle of the room, surrounded by machines.

He walked up to the dome, his mad grin widening. Unfortunately, she was not what she used to be. She had held the beauty of a dark queen, had been so beautiful, but now... now, the removed flesh showed a disgusting beauty. The body was still shaped like one of a human, this was unmistakable, or almost, but the way her exposed muscles were twitching, it gave her the look of an enjoyable monster. Wires were connected to many exposed veins.... Blood and puss were showing around a few exposed body parts the doctors had to sponge out every hour to prevent major infections. Incredible to think this inside out being could still be alive in this form. Tomorrow, they would start removing the muscles and replace them with robotic relics. How sweet.

His hands reached the sides of the dome, and pulled both switches that kept it sealed. He opened Snow White’s glass, which held itself with joints to the left. He stared into her wide exposed eyes for a moment... then GoldenFire pressed his lips upon whatever was left of his daughter’s spongy forehead.
Gelatinous fluid and blood stuck to his golden lips, and with the help of his robotic tongue sucked it away.

“I’ll be seeing you, Honey”, he whispered with his deep voice.

Without a fading grin, GoldenFire closed the dome back in place and walked out without awaking the two unfaithful guards.
