AWAKENING

During Beast Wars Other Voices part one the planet buster knocked all the
stasis pods out of orbit and sent them crashing. Then in part 2 Optimus Primal
used a transwarp cell to destroy it. Due to the time and space properties of transwarp technology it altered all the crash pods and some of the active
transformers into the Transmetal state. Most sparks were terminated either due
to the crash or due to the Transwarp wave and the planet fall.
The sparks that did survive came online at different times. Some during the
Beast Wars, some after the Beast Wars and were rescued by Primal Prime. One
such pod awakened after Primal Prime left.
This pod crashed into a mountain and kept going, until it crashed right into
the middle of the Ark. He lay dormant for years. When his pod was activated an
owl had flown into the Ark. The pod scanned the owl and Dark Night came to
life. The owl flew to another part of the room and watched him emerge. When he
saw the owl he knew that was the one who was responsible for giving him the
required DNA. He walked over to the majestic beast and extended his arm, which the
owl deftly landed upon.
“Hello my brother.” Squawk. “Indeed where are we?” He looks around. “Let’s go
find out.” They begin to explore the Ark.
They reach a room filled with Autobots & Decepticons asleep. “I don’t believe
it. We are on ancient Earth before the greatest heroes and villains of the
Great War brought the war to a new era.” He walks up to each Autobot and
looked them over. “Where is Optimus Primal and the others if I am awake on
this planet then they must be here as well. Let’s go find my leader.” Squawk.
He rubs his companion's head. They find a way out of the Ark and they head to
Maximal command structure that the Maximals set up after they discovered the
Ark. “This must be an outpost or something. Let’s see what they have been up
to.” He accesses the records.
Hours later. “There were two Beast Wars? First one led by Optimus Primal and
Megatron, the second led by Primal Prime and Tarantulas. The computer has
registered that it has been several years since the second ended and left for
Cybertron. I must find a way to get a message to Cybertron and get off this
planet. Until then at least I have a decent place to stay.” He then searches
through the records.
At the location of where the Predacon base the Darkside used to reside two
Transmetals were digging themselves out of the lava pits. Scorponok and
Terrorsaur emerge as Transmetals. They find the wreckage of the Darkside
everywhere. “Where is Megatron?” Scorponok says. “Forget that, what the hell
happened here?” Terrorsaur says. “Let’s go destroy the Axalon and the
Maximals.” Scorponok says.
The two of them head for the location of the Maximal base in vehicle mode. (Scorponok’s
vehicle mode is a tank with the scorpion tail serving as the turret.) “What
in the pit is going on here? Both the Darkside and Axalon are gone,” Terrorsaur says. Let’s go to one of Tarantulas’ lairs that can provide us with
shelter until we can figure out what is going on.” They head for the nearest
one. They see the tubes that were seen in Wreckers number 1’s section known as
Primeval Dawn’s last page. They are curious but know that it’s more than
likely dangerous. Scorponok being the smarter of the two tries to break the
encryption code Tarantulas had in his files. Terrorsaur accesses the
dependability of the location and the energon reserves.
Days later the two sides meet for the first time and they duke it out tooth
and nail for twenty minutes before Dark Night is overpowered and sent into the
sea where they think he drowns due to him converting to beast mode first. He
actually converted to beast mode so he could transform to his vehicle mode,
which would be more adept at underwater sea travel. (His vehicle form is a
stealth jet.) There he finds a seriously scrapped Transformer, actually it is
two, Rampage and Depth Charge. Due to the immortal nature of Rampage’s spark
and unpredictability of raw energon they both lived on in stasis lock. Dark
Night took the remains piece by piece back to his base where he put the pieces
into a CR Chamber where it tried to but failed to fix the pieces.
Dark Night knows he needed whomever this Transformer is to help him with the
Scorpion and Pterodactyl. He asked the computer and it suggested that he get
sparkles protoform and put the spark into that. Dark Night scanned the area
for Stasis Pods based on the metal composition of his. He found one 2 miles
away, and retrieved it, he was half hoping it wouldn’t be sparkles. When he
got back he studied Rhinox’s journal again to see how he saved Optimus Primal.
Hours later a Transmetal hyena named Jawbreaker came online. The merged
personalities of Rampage & Depth Charge created a twisted Maximal that is just
as insane as Rampage and had Depth Charge’s sense of duty. A hyena was chosen
because that was the closest animal that Dark Night could catch when the pod
started to scan.
