Alone

It was so cold… She shivered in the rain, but kept on walking.  She was an outcast, and not even her friends wanted her to stay.  Her optics started to flicker off but she slapped herself to keep herself awake.

She had no time to recharge.  She needed to find… What did she need to find?  One thing she wanted above all was… friendship.  If she couldn’t have that, her life was pointless.  She hugged herself, to keep herself from shaking.

She was all alone.  She wanted a friend.  Most of all, she wanted someone to accept her even though she was a neutral.  No one paid attention to neutrals anymore.  It was hopeless.  No matter how far she walked, she would never find anyone.

She leaned her back against an old tree, and sat down on the musty, muddy ground.  Her optics closed as she went off-line for good.

Some decades later…

Cheetor was on Scout Patrol when he noticed a body.  He transformed and went to see who it was.  He gasped in horror as he saw the off-line body.  It didn’t look like anyone had even given her a proper funeral.  He began to dig in the ground, preparing for her much deserved funeral.

A few cycles later and back at base…

Silverbolt was worried.  Cheetor wasn’t his usual annoying self.  He asked what was wrong.

“It’s just that… Y’see… I found an off-line, and I’m wondering why no one bothered to give her a proper funeral.  It was like… she was an outcast and no one knew she was even there.” Cheetor told him, though his mind wasn’t paying attention to the fuzor very much.

“Maybe she was…” Silverbolt said.  Cheetor said nothing, but only continued to stare outside and wonder why the world was so unfair.
